5 days ago my account was deleted from digital point thanks to what is reported to be a database issue. 3 days or so in I finally managed to figure out what was happening thanks to another user posting about the same issue in the suggestion and feedback thread. I went back later to check the thread, only to find out that it had been deleted. DP moderators normally refuse to delete threads for any reason. Many other users were struck by the same issue, and it looked like the DP staff was trying to do it's best to cover up what had happened. Users were left unable to contact the moderator staff to figure out what was happening, or risk facing a perma ban for duplicate accounts.

Now I am left down 1,100 posts, 4 itrader, and my good name as a member of this forum. That's not the thing that bothers me most though, I understand that database issues happen and I was just unlucky. What absolutely disgusts me though is the Digital Points staff total disregard for their users, the people that make up the forum. You made no effort to tell people what was happening, and went as far to censor the forums to try to keep the issue quiet. And once you did finally an make an announcement 5 days later, you didn't apologize or try to make amends. Just "you idiots better have backed up your pm's, tough sack that your accounts got deleted."

This is the final straw for me and this forum after a series of past grievances and total incompetence on the part of the moderation staff. I hope the other members recognize this forum for the hell hole that it is and make their voices heard.

The actions taken have been for the privacy and security of the forum and its members. While the loss of information is regrettable, there isn't much that can be done now. You can either start rebuilding your name and reputation, or you are welcome to find your fortunes in another forum. :)

If the database was fixed earlier this all could have been avoided, some people have lost years of work and countless itraders and now they have to build up trust within the community again, when they shouldn't have to. I feel sorry for those of you who have lost dozens or hundreds of itraders you at the very least deserve an apology from shawn.

Afteral it's HIS responsibility to maintain the forum and obviously he hasn't done a very good job of it imo im not having I go or anything I just think this is terrible for those whose reputations have been ruined. As for those of you i've seen whining about loosing 3 or 4 itraders get over it, there are those less fortunate than you ;)
