    Hello

I will be handling large payments (200-1000 range) and I need to know the best option for this I am considering western union... is this safe for me?

I have heard too much about paypal chargebacks to feel safe with them, and egold is having legal issues.

I am considering 'escrow' but I know very little about it... what are your suggestions?

    thank you

WU can be an expensive option for your customers and troublesome since only a few countries can send payments and do it online. For the most part, the WU transaction is irreversible once you collected your money.

As long as you work with your customers, do your due diligence on them and make them happy, there is almost no reasons for them to do a chargeback unless of course they use a stolen credit card or something. With Paypal, make sure you only deal with verified members and do a little investigation to see their past dealings and make sure they are from the country they claim to be from.

Scammers often use escrow. People may not trust you, regardless of how safe you feel.

Escrow.com is by far the safest and easiest way to handle large transactions. Even if you're dealing with a scammer, you will likely be able to sort everything out.

Well, when they pay you, the Paypal email which comes to you would show if it is from a verified or unverified account. Typically if I get money from an unverified account, I will immediate refund the money and end my relationship with them then and there.

As to finding more information about them, it all depends on how they find out. If they are from DP then just do a search on their various posting and iTraders comments.

If you see the person claiming to be from a country that he is not, uses a VCC, underaged or deemed to be unreliable through the various post then that might raise a red flag.
