id say get his email tracked then contact google tell them about this then ask them for his ip give it to the fbi get him tracked down then sue him
It's not your normal threat - the guy is a severely disturbed wacko - he MUST have mental problems, no sane person would post death threats with the intensity like he does. I considered ignoring it, but the guy just reads into things that aren't there. Turns out his name is Rich Gibson from Sebastopol, California, I reported him to his local police department so at the very least there's a record and tracability. And I'm seriously thinking about reporting this loon him to his employer.
Hey, to kill me, you've got to use kryptonite! Yes, that's his Yahoo profile. I considered not revealing his name, but there is the edge, and then there is the abyss, into which it seems that he has fallen into... if he wants to find me, my lawyer is standing ready, but I realized that this may not be the first time he's threatened someone's life and it's possible that he may have exercised his anger, hatred, and racism on others. If that's the case, then at least the police need to know about him. A line from Star Trek comes to mind, which I'll modify for this occasion: It is impossible for a bigot to behave like a civilized man. I've seen enough racists and bigots in my life, and I know enough to understand that the Real Deal can be really dangerous. He talks out of both sides of his mouth, but he appears to have a real and serious hatred of both Christiains and Israelis (using the words "ugly" and "evil" in related context). Today being Labor Day, I'll notify his employer tomorrow. Thank You for everyone's level-headed advice!
Jews seem to get stick where ever they live in the world, its a good job your living in the US where Lawyers are brought into situations at the drop of a hat, here in the U.K its a very different story. Saying that, its very, very rare to hear of much open racial comments or violence to Jews here. On that note, il give myself a wee nudge in the ribs and remind myself its a webmaster forum. Politics and religion in argument are a waste of time. Stay safe.
This is less about politics or religion. This is about a trend. Recent court cases have shown that the internet can no longer be considered a lawless frontier. People like Davis Temple Stephenson have found that out the hard way. I remember another one where someone that was heartlessly slandered in blog comments had his day in court. Online stalkers are finding themselves behind bars.
Corwin... what exactly churned this guys butter? It's probably that Mark Karr guy... weird coincidence that he returns to the US and these threats start... heck, might even make for good web promotion.
