Already a terrorist organization but went a step further in using children for promotion of hatred and terrorism. The European Union, the United States, Canada, Israel and Japan classify Hamas as a terrorist organization.
One man's 'terrorist' is another man's 'freedom fighter'. Perhaps if Israel got out of their land the Palestinians wouldn't have to do what they do.
Or conversely, if the Arabs in the region could just live in peace, the Israelis wouldn't have to do what they do. You know what they say about excuses. I guess it becomes doubly true when you start blowing up busses filled with elderly people and launching rockets into residential neighborhoods. BTW, hard to call that "Freedom fighter" by any logical or reasonable measure.
Yeah... I'm sure the European settlers were telling the native American Indians something similar when they stole their lands. If the Israelis were not illegally occupying Arab land they wouldn't be getting rockets fired at them. It's all about using 'appropriate retaliatory force' too. If your neighbour kicks a football into your garden and knocks the head of a few flowers, you are not justified in burning his house down in retaliation. That is the scenario. I wonder what you would do if Canada invaded the USA, threw you out of your home, off your land, prevented you from reaching your place of work leaving you unable to support your family whilst the rest of the world looked on giving you no support other than empty words, I'm sure you'd feel justified in fighting back with what ever means you had at your disposal AND you would see it as fighting for your freedom. Saddam Hussein ignored one or two UN resolution and the USA and Britain kicked his arse. One can only wonder why they have not done the same to Israel...considering that it has ignored HUNDREDS of UN resolutions to get out of Palestine.
Hamas was created by Israel. Modern day terrorism was invented by Jewish terror organizations that used terrorism to drive the British out of Palestine. The Zionist Jews also used terror to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from their own homeland. Contrary to popular belief, Israel was not created by Britain or by the UN, it was created through terrorism.
There is certainly no doubt that Sharon was a 'terrorist' and that the political party that he belonged to, Haganah, was seen by most of the world as a terrorist organisation. http://www.counterpunch.org/2001/02/07/the-crimes-of-ariel-sharon/ http://www.larouchepub.com/pr/site_packages/2002/sharon/020430sharon_crime_hist.html http://www.antiwar.com/justin/j020501.html http://socialistworker.org/2002-1/402/402_08_SharonIsTerrorist.shtml
Paul can explain it better than I can. If you think that Israel was created by UN resolution 181, you should know that this was a non-binding resolution .. Do you know what "non-binding" means ?
One mans thief is another mans imperialist. Right. So according to you, a good Muslim can fire rockets into residential neighborhoods with the intent to kill innocents, and blowing up buses filled with elderly people is perfectly acceptable. Thank you for answer the question Mikael/Solar Products was incapable of answering. Like I've been saying, they aren't even real Muslims. Posers. Fakes. Apostates. Oh yeh, the Mexicans are busily blowing up busses filled with children in Texas. Remember the Alamo!!!! The Native Americans, same story! Remember the trail of tears! Sorry pal, for most nations, when the war is over, they make peace and move on. It takes some real dumb sh*ts practicing a religion that has been completely perverted to gin up religious and ethnic hatred to pull off the rather unique behavior you have between Palestine and Israel. Israel doesn't have oil? The UN is a joke? The Palestinians elected terrorists to power? So many reasons.... I cant decide. You pick one!!! Not going to answer any of my questions? Spewing nonsense doesn't help your credibility.
The King of Spain in 1500's asked Ferdinand Magellan to discover new worlds and occupy them. He was a terrorist that terrorized the Island of Mactan and was killed by Lapu-Lapu. Battle of Mactan
Oh yeah, I remember very well Operation Entebbe. The whole world knows that Palestinians are just "PLAIN" Terrorist nobody wants them not even the so called ARAB brethren they are trouble and a burden for everyone.
No, it isn't acceptable and I never said that it was (so your argument is a straw man) and neither is Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian lands acceptable or it's use of high-tec weapons against innocent civilians. In addition, you may want to gen up on 'International Law'....especially the part that deals with retaliatory action. My question to you is... If YOUR country became illegally occupied and YOU were evicted from your home, evicted from YOUR legally held land, put out of YOUR job and were put in a position where YOU were unable to feed YOUR children and all the help you could get from the rest of the world was empty words to support you but no action to help you...would you feel justified in using every means at your disposal to get back what LEGALLY belongs to YOU? You need to keep in mind that this is NOT a 'legal' war, it is an ILLEGAL OCCUPATION of land that belongs to somebody else, THAT is the difference. So what should the Palestinians do.. according to you? Just shrug and say 'Oh well'...as their homes are flattened? Say 'too bad' as they lose their lands and livelihoods? Well I wouldn't entirely disagree with you but the question remains...what would YOU do if you were a Palestinian? Would you just knuckle under and lose everything you have to an illegal occupying force...or would you fight with all your being with whatever weapons you could get your hands on? So did the Israelis in the person of Ariel Sharon. Umm.... what actual relevance do events that happened 500 years ago in the 16th century have to do with events that are happening in the 21st century???? Things...especially acceptable behaviour, have moved on a bit since then. 500 years ago it may well have been considered acceptable to steal someone else's land and take their homes under the rule of 'Might is Right' but I'd like to think we have become a little more civilised since those days...you obviously don't.
Well we can all play that game can't we! Following are just a few of the many massacres committed by Jewish-Zionist terrorists, notably by the Zionist Hagana, Irgun and Stern Gang groups. July 2, 1946: The King David Hotel in Jerusalem was bombed, killing 91 people. Menachem Begin, who was later awarded the Nobel Prize for peace, is the same man who planned the destruction of the King David Hotel and the massacre of Deir Yassin.....Ex prime minister, Shamir, was originally a member of the Jewish terrorist gang called Irgun, which was headed by none other than Menachem Begin. Shamir later moved over to the even more radical "Stern Gang," which committed many vicious atrocities. Shamir himself has defended the various assassinations committed by the Irgun and Stern gangs on the grounds that "it was the only way we could operate, because we were so small. So it was more efficient and more moral to go for selected targets." The selected moral targets in those early days of the founding of the state of Israel included bombing of the King David Hotel and the massacre of Deir Yassin. April 9, 1948: A combined force of Irgun and Stern Gangs committed a brutal massacre of 260 Arab residents of the village of Deir Yassin. Most of whom were women and children. ..... ....Accounts by Red Cross and United Nations observers who visited the scene said that the houses were first set on fire and the occupants were shot down as they came out to escape the flames. One pregnant woman had her baby cut out of her stomach with a knife. May 1948: The U.S. appointed Count Folke Bernadotte of Sweden to mediate between the Arabs and the Israelis. In his first progress report (of Sept. 16, 1948) he recommended that the U.N. should affirm "the right of the Arab refugees to return to their homes in Jewish controlled territory at the earliest possible date." The Israelis responded in their own quiet way. The following day Bernadotte was murdered in Jerusalem. February 1949: Israel launched an offensive across the Armistice lines with Egypt which brought its forces to the Gulf of Aqaba, occupying the Palestinian police post of Umm Rashrash which they afterwards named Eilat. 1950: Israelis seized the Al-Uja de-militarized zone on the Egyptian side and Baqqara on the Syrian side, expelling their Arab inhabitants and razed their homes to the ground by bulldozers. 1950-1955: Israeli forces unleashed more than 40 acts of armed aggressions against Arab states, almost all causing a heavy loss of life. This included attacks and massacres in Qibya, Huleh 1953, Nahalin, Kfar Qassem in 1954, Gaza and a Syrian outpost on Lake Tiberias in 1955. October 14-1 5, 1953 -- Under the command of Ariel Sharon, Israeli squads attacked the unarmed Arab village of Qibya in the demilitarized one. Where they blew up 42 houses and killed more than 60 residents who were trapped inside. The details were so gruesome that the U.S. joined in a U.N. condemnation of the Israeli action, and for the first and only time, suspended aid to Israel in reprisal. July 1954: Israeli intelligence planted "a ring of spies (moles)" in Cairo. Its task was to begin sabotage operations against selected Egyptian, British and American targets. On July 14, the Alexandria post office was fire-bombed, and the U.S. Information Agency offices in Cairo and Alexandria were damaged by fire started by phosphorous incendiary devices, as was a British-owned theatre. Members of the spy ring were caught, and they confessed. They had been planted by Modin, the Israeli military intelligence organization. 1956: Squads of Israeli soldiers committed a hideous atrocity in the Palestinian village of Kafr Qasim, 47 innocent people were shot down in cold blood. ..... Israel has always refused to obey any mandate of the United Nations. Resolutions affirmed by vote every year since 1948 recognize the right of the return of Palestinian refugees, but Israel always refuses to obey. Israel has been condemned over and over again for breaking the charter and now fulfilling the conditions upon which she was allowed to become a member! 1960-1962: Israeli forces attacked Syrian villages on Lade Tiberias and brought death to hundreds of Arab civilians. 1966: Squads of Israeli soldiers raided the Jordanian village of Sammu, they killed 18 civilians, wounded 100 others and demolished 130 houses including a school, a clinic and a mosque. 1967: THE U.S.S. Liberty was deliberately attacked in international waters as it monitored communications during the Six-Day War. Israel used U.S.-donated equipment to jam the ship's S.O.S., hoping to sink it and murder all aboard before word could get out. 34 sailors were butchered and 170 wounded in this blatant Act of War. June 5, 1967: Israeli committed its biggest, most treacherous and premeditated aggression against Egypt, Syria and Jordan. After destroying Arab aircraft on the ground in a lightening attack, Israeli forces invaded and occupied the rest of Palestine, that is, the West Bank, Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem, the Syrian Golan Heights and the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. February 15, 1968: Israel invaded PLO bases in Karamah, on the eastern bank of the River Jordan with helicopter-borne troops and tanks. 1969: The Israelis distinguished themselves by committing a horrible crime, in retaliation of attrition war across the Suez Canal, Israeli war planes raided an Egyptian school "Bahr al Baker" in southern Egypt killing 75 children and wounding over 100. March 12, 1970: Israeli forces invaded part of South Lebanon known as "Fatah-Land" killing a number of Palestinian and Lebanese civilians. September 8, 1972 -- Without any apparent cause or reason, Israeli Phantoms bombed Palestinian targets in Lebanon and Syria in a series of raids killing hundreds of civilians. February 21, 1973: Israel landed commando units on the coasts of the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli. They attacked two Palestinian refugees camps, dynamited several houses and buildings, some over the heads of their occupants, killing 35 refugees and wounding a similar number. On the same day, Israeli war planes shot down a Libyan Civilian Aircraft over the Sinai Desert killing over 100 passengers. April 10, 1973: Israeli commando units with the help of some Lebanese collaborators stormed into a residential quarter in East Beirut and killed three PLO leaders: Yusef Al Najjar, Kamal Adwan and Kamal Nasser. 1974: Israeli air-borne commando units attacked Beirut airport and destroyed 13 Lebanese civilian aircraft on the ground. In the same year, Israeli planes intercepted a civilian Syrian aircraft and forced it to land at Lydda (Lod) airport on suspicion that it was carrying a Palestinian commando leader. Christian shrines in Jerusalem were subjected to several acts of aggression and robbery. This included damaging the church of the Holy Sepulchre, burying four other Christian centres, and stealing the diamond Crown of the Virgin Mary. 1975-1980: Israeli's intelligence service, the Mossad, distinguished itself by feats of terrorist actions that killed a number of Arab and Palestinian diplomats, scientists and journalists such as the PLO representatives in London, Rome, Paris and Brussels, prominent Palestinian journalist and writer Ghassan Kanafani and the Egyptian nuclear scientist Dr. Al Mashad. 1981: Putting their so-called pre-emptive policy in action, Israeli warplanes raided and destroyed a peaceful Iraqi nuclear reactor near Baghdad. June 6, 1982: The Israeli armed forces invaded Lebanon. June 1982: Israeli forces launched their savage invasion of Lebanon. As a result of this invasion a great number of refugee camps, Lebanese towns and villages were destroyed. Israeli war planes launched eight raids on Palestinian targets in South Lebanon and Beirut, killing nearly one thousand people and wounding many others. July 17, 1982: U.S. supplied F-4 and F-5 jets swooped low over Beirut in 4 passes, bombing the densely-populated Fakahani district. Five tall apartment buildings were destroyed, 200 people were killed and 800 wounded. Forty percent of the victims were small children, and one of the survivors was an unborn baby pulled by doctors from the dead mother's womb. Israel's then Chief-of-staff Rafael Eitan announced on Israeli Radio that civilian causalities were unimportant and that the Arab causalities suffered as of the July 17 attack did not yet constitute the Israeli "final solution." September 1982: Israeli raids and bombardments continued during the weeks following the raid on Beirut in July. It was the beginning of the invasion of Beirut; after which an 80 days war led by Ariel Sharon, (then War Minister of Israel) resulted in the destruction of much of Beirut, killing and wounding thousands of Palestinians and Lebanese civilians. It was during this invasion that the massacre of the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps was committed. Where over 2,500 Palestinian women, children and elderly people were slaughtered in cold blood. October 1982: Israeli terrorists bombed the houses, cars and offices of three elected Palestinian mayors on the West Bank, Nablus, Ramallah and Al Beireh. 1984: Israeli warships and gunboats intercepted merchant ships on the high seas off the coast of Lebanon and kidnapped a number of Palestinians. 1985: Israeli planes raided and destroyed the PLO headquarters in Tunis. 1986: Israeli secret agents assassinated a noted Palestinian cartoonist Naji Al Ali, in London. April 1988: Israeli commando units stormed into the house of Khalil Al Wazir, in Tunis. Al Wazir who was the most senior PLO military commander and believed to be in charge of the Intifada, was murdered while sleeping. February and March 1989: Israeli F-16 planes pounded Palestinian targets in Lebanon's Shouf Mountains, Damour and the Beka's valley with a series of raids killing a numbers of civilians, including 15 school children in Damour. April 14, 1989: Israeli border guards and settlers attacked the peaceful and unarmed village of Nahalin near Bethlehem. Eight Palestinians were massacred for no reason and over 50 were injured. http://rense.com/general21/pastzionist.htm There's plenty more if you want it.
Lets see. I know! I would start murdering elderly people on vacation! I would start setting car bombs off to murder civilians! I would launch rockets into residential neighborhoods! If I were unable to do those things myself, I would elect people to power who would support those activities with what little money I had! Is that the answer you are looking for? It certainly sounds like it. By which law book? Yours? Mine? Israels? Palestines? The UN's? The very term legal war is laughable. Is the war in Syria right now legal, or illegal? Get a clue. Conflicts and war are not exactly new to this planet. The Palestinians had opportunities for peace all along, in 1948, in 1967, in 2000, even today. It would seem Palestinians do not want peace. The smart Palestinians, if there is such a thing, moved to a western nation and started a gas station, quicki mart, or are operating a taxi cab. They spend their time moving themselves and their family forward. Most are doing quite well, and more than a few are now quite rich. The dumb ones (most if not all of them) spend their time throwing rocks t tanks. LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Oh the irony. A little anecdote. My wife is actually of mixed blood, with enough Native American to qualify for the state benefits (though no casino cash that I know of, dammit!). She doesn't work and lives a reasonably comfortable life raising our kids. Now just picture her as a Palestinian, agonizing away day in day out about what the American presidents and military did to her people, handing them disease(small pox?) infested blankets in an early form of what one can only be described as biological warfare. Invaders! Occupiers! Murderers! What a waste of a life. Move on.
Why don't you answer the question I asked? "If YOUR country became illegally occupied and YOU were evicted from your home, evicted from YOUR legally held land, put out of YOUR job and were put in a position where YOU were unable to feed YOUR children and all the help you could get from the rest of the world was empty words to support you but no action to help you...would you feel justified in using every means at your disposal to get back what LEGALLY belongs to YOU?" According to international laws. The laws and treaties that all countries sign up to. Israel has broken International law by invading another country and illegally occupying it. THAT is why they receive International condemnation for their actions. Oh...I have a clue all right. Some here clearly do not. They prefer to adopt the typical 'Gung-Ho', 'Let's bomb the bastards' attitude found amongst so many Americans that are ignorant of the subject. MOST Palestinians are destitute. MOST Palestinians are living in poverty that has been inflicted by Israel. MOST Palestinians are on the point of starvation. MOST Palestinians are uneducated because Israel is preventing them from getting an education ....and you expect them to just up and jump on a plane and move off to another country (assuming that the other country will allow them entry) and start some business venture or other. Clearly, it is YOU that needs to 'get a clue'. btw. Your anti-Palistinian/Muslim stance in your words is beginning to show. You aren't really interested in who is right or wrong are you... for you, it's more a case of...'let's wipe the bastards off the face of the Earth'. ..another straw-man! I didn't say that they were. It is about whether or not the illegal occupation of Palestinian lands is 'just' or not. Clearly it isn't and that is why I am asking popotalk and now YOU...what would YOU do if another country ILLEGALLY invaded yours, took your home and land and left you to starve.. WOULD YOU FIGHT BACK?? ...or would you do as you are suggesting that Palestinians do ...shrug you shoulders, accept it or move to another country. Really?? What opportunities would be that. Would it be the same 'opportunities' that were given to the Native American Indians... something like.... 'We have stolen your homes and your land but you must not fight us. You must lay down your weapons and stop fighting and if you do that, we might just allow you to starve in peace on some worthless piece of scrub-land whilst we move our people onto any of your land that that will support agriculture and habitation.' Your arguments show that you really don't have a clue about the Palestinian/Israeli conflict other than what you have been fed by your pro-Israel American news media. Why do you think it is that just about every country in the world bar American and to a lesser degree, Britain, is condemning the Israeli occupation of Palestine? Why are they doing that if Israel is in the right? What the Palestinians want is to have Israel return to the pre-1967 borders and their homes and their land returned to them. This is the sort of ignorance prevalent in most Americans that haven't got a clue about what is going on in the world. What are you talking about? Yeah...move on! Just as long as YOU are not the one that is being oppressed huh? To be honest, dialogue with you is going to be pointless as you are obviously clueless about the current situation in Palestine. It really would be a good Idea if you actually learned a little bit about what the Palestinians are complaining about BEFORE you step up to he microphone. Failure to do so only makes you look foolish, as indeed it has now with your comments about Palestinians needing to accept the illegal occupation of their country and the theft of their homes, jump on a plane, move to a Western country and open a business. Such staggering ignorance!!
International law states that you cannot capture land through warfare. In 1967 Israel decided to attack it's neighbours and steal their land. The Sinai was returned the Egypt. Israel also left Gaza. But the West Bank (which is internationally recognized as Palestinian territory) is still occupied. If Israel continues to violate the law, then the world will have no option but to isolate it . You would love this wouldn't you. Palestinians are still alive and kicking, still fighting for their rights. It sucks, doesn't it.
Majority of Europeans find Israel the greatest threat to world peace. - http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2003/nov/02/israel.eu The whole world knows that Israel is a racist and terrorist state.
We don't agree on much Mikael but we are together on this one. Unfortunately, too many Americans aren't even aware of what is going on outside their own state never mind outside their own country. The facts of world events are not very high on their agenda...much easier to lap up what their leaders tell them than to actually find out themselves.
