ICC Releases Hall of Shame Report

Washington, D.C. (January 21, 2010) International Christian Concern (ICC), a Washington DC based human rights group, has released its annual Hall of Shame report. The Hall of Shame is a list of the world's ten worst persecuting countries of Christians.

This report calls attention to the trend of Christian persecution which continues on an alarming scale. Communist and former Communist states are becoming less antagonistic towards Christianity (North Korea being the exception) while persecution continues to increase in Islamic countries.

In keeping with ICC's mission to raise awareness of Christian persecution, ICC’s website, www.persecution.org, is updated daily with the latest reports of anti-Christian violence from web sources and ICC correspondents. Consequently, persecution.org is the only website where Christian persecution news is warehoused in such a comprehensive manner. The Hall of Shame analyzes these news reports from the ten countries where Christian persecution has been most severe in 2009.

Aidan Clay, ICC Regional Manager for the Middle East, said, "This report reminds us that constant vigilance is needed in the struggle to defend the fundamental human right of religious freedom. The Hall of Shame is a mere glimpse of the immense persecution endured by Christians worldwide. Most Christians suffer in quiet, their circumstance unknown and their voice unheard. Those of us fortunate to live in countries that grant religious freedom must not forget nor neglect the plight of Christians who are unable to worship freely and are hence condemned to suffer for their faith. We call on journalists and every concerned individual to help expose religious persecution in 2010."

ICC has ranked the following countries as the world's worst persecutors of Christians in 2009: Eritrea, Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Somalia, India, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Nigeria and China.

The report is in PDF format, and can be found on the ICC website www.persecution.org, or it can be accessed directly at Hall of Shame 2010 (http://www.persecution.org/suffering/pdfs/ICCTop10Report.pdf).

Well, that's the name of the game, isn't it? If you really love Jesus, you'd be happy to hang up on that cross, wouldn't ya?
Honestly, opened this thread expecting to hear about Christian persecution of others, rather than the other way around. While I have no doubt that Christians suffer where they are in the minority as much as Muslims suffer in Christian countries, it's hard to work up a lot of sympathy for groups sharing dogma with the witch hunters, Crusaders and abortion bombers.
Perhaps Christians would be persecuted less if they collectively followed the Golden Rule and other admirable teachings. In general, this is not the case. Of course, there are exceptions to this, and many fine Christian heroes such as Quakers and the Berrigans. Unfortunately, those who are true to the principles of peace are in the minority, historically.

Some more education needed. Jesus came up for out guilt, so that we don't have to have the same over and over again.

Christians have the obligation to stop troublemakers no matter where they are from.

The crusades came into existence because of the Islamic aggressions to take over the world.

I've never seen a Muslim suffer or being prosecuted in a Christian country. Can you come up with some evidence? Fact is they're exploiting and out-breeding a system they are fed from.

As one of my earlier prophecies said. There will be censorship of the Quran. In the case of the Turkish CIA attacker we can see once again how a well educated person turns terrorist. so education is not the key to combat terrorism but we must combat it from the roots, anything else will fail.

You will have to come up with a source for your claims, you're not that credible that people take it for granted what you type in your apologistic manner.
My source is clearly stated, articles from that source are confirmed manifold by other sources. http://persecution.org

Yes, Jesus paid for our sins, yours too with blood money(remember, the soul is in the blood) so that nobody else has to pay blood money or sacrifice animals and alike.

You will understand that we don't need Islamic medieval practices.
