If you abandon your site then, yes, the impact will be negative. I had a quick look and there seemed to be lots of lists and some really basic "should I blog" type posts but I couldn't see anything that gave the blog a flavour, or character. There was no sense of the person behind the blog.

Before you commit to restarting that blog consider what your business goals are and if that fits your goals.

You don't present the information in unique or different way. Maybe it's the main problem. You must be sure that your website is interesting and useful for others.
You stoped post since 2010?? Well, you must work harder!
    Good luck :3

you need to post regularly, also five times a week. unfortunately, it's hard to make a website famous, there are too many sites appearing everyday, a lot of competition.

Because the site is a few years old, that may be an advantage.....
You will have to review the site pages to see if there is work needed based on the changes Google has instituted regarding their indexing, that could take a while.
You will also have to see if the theme is supported by the pages, so as to maximize rankings.
You may have some backlinking to disavow as things have changed dramatically re backlinks.

I have recently seen inactive sites that are 1 and 2 and 4..... You will have to research to see how you can revitalize the pages to get the ranking you want.

    Hope that helps
