A friend of mine asked me if I could review their site. They don't like forums so I'm posting it on their behalf. Please can you review the site http://www.halcyonlogodesign.com - more importantly the look of the index page and the portfolio (I realise it is a bit thin on the ground at the moment) Your feedback on this would be appreciated!
Looks pretty good - the text is perhaps a touch too small. Also, where you've got the selection of logo's which takes you to the portfolio page, I'd change that image to a gif or png file, rather than a jpeg (which are designed for photographs - their compression algorithm degrades line art). That should make the logos look at lot better - the lines will be clearer (especially if you can produce the .gifs/.pngs from the actual vector art), and the gradients smoother, and the finer details will be clearer too.
