Had Surgery, Stitched Tugged, Now Sore - What Can I Do?

    I know I am not the only one who has had surgery in DP and have had a bit of stitches put in them. Well tonight I took off my bandage and when I did they tugged on the stitches a good bit from the dry blood and now the area is real sore. Is there anything I can do to relieve the soreness? By the way this is one the side of my face near my ear. :(

    I'd suggest that you call your doctor instead of trying to get medical advise from a bunch of webmasters. ;)

    I am good... my doctor told me not to take it off till Saturday morning and I took it off tonight (Friday) so I am 9-12 hours before schedule. I do not want to get fussed at.

    Dont worry much about getting fussed at. worry about the healing of the wound mate. go to your doc

    I am a doctor and my advice to you is use normal saline to wet the hardened cotton and stitch and it will be very easy to remove the cotton.
    Also you should use surgical spirit to clean the site of stitch.
