Hi. I am managing a domain for a friend. The domain is for a hacking site/forum. Now, if there are any legal issues with that site, am i in bad position, or is he (he manages hosting etc etc). I have whoisguard enabled.

Just to note, WhoIs Guard (Namecheap I assume) and any other private registration setup from any other established registrar does not protect you from being legally responsible for your domain. If the authorities or lawyers wanted to contact you through your registrar, they could. If it came to a registrar choosing you or losing their license/company, chances are they would give you up and choose their company's health. Private registration is to keep your private information from spammers (along with others), not from the law.

Owner of domain - would be liable to anything and everything related to the site / content for that domain.
If you are just managing it as a proxy - you are clean.

    Thx
