I saw a lof of peoples saying hacking and security sites are illegal and almost every hacking or security site get kicked from USA servers. I mean on sites which just link to hacking resurces, tutorials, tools That is not fair, because webmasters can learn how to secure sites, how to protect yourself e.t.c. What is with freedom of speech, they can talk about those things, it's not "illegal" Let me know what do you think about it
It might not be illegal to talk about such topics, or even publish it, but that doesn't mean hosting companies can choose whether or not they want to host, and therefore perhaps be associated, with a hacking community. There is freedom of association too.
I forgot on freedom of association But there is no reason to kick those sites from servers. Other webmasters visit those sites to learn how to protect yourself, how to protect sites e.t.c and if hosting company decides to drop those sites webmasters will not have place to learn how to protect yourself/sites and there will be more possible to they get "hacked" So,I think those sites are useful
No, you didn't got the point I saying about sites who just share hacking tutorials, papers, guides, tools If someone "hack" site it's illegal of corse but I saying about talking about hacking, mothods e.t.c
Some freakin people which likes short cuts, they sometime goes really well, but in the end they have to suffer. hacking and illegal stuff is seriously pathetic.
My security blog/hacking blog is hosted on a US box. I've had zero issues! Read the TOS's. If you provide say malware and other malicous items on your security site/hack site, then you are breaking the TOS and probably a distributing law somewhere... Another big no-no is IRC eggdrops and botnets. Datacenters are phasing out these in the US because of the potient harm and impact it could have if used for malicious purposes. I am not sure on the exact laws concerning distributing of hacking tools/software, but I believe it is a summary offense to host the files. Cheers,
