    Hi Everyone,

Some one has hacked my Google Adwords PPC Account last day. Actually today when i was checking my campaigns, I found one unwanted campaign naming Campaign #1. I found that the daily budget fixed for it was $20,000. And it got lot more clicks and ultimately cost became $20429. It was a job site whose ad was running in my account.

So I want to have the suggestion regarding this. What should be my next step for security and for getting my money back.?

I need all your precious and kind advice.

    Thanks

Wow, that's terrible :( It might be really difficult to explain Google that, but the only thing you can do is to contact Google.

The best option would be to use Live Chat or call them, because it will easier to explain, instead of sending emails.

P.S. Did you use proper password for you account?

Were the ads of a type that would make the hacker money? Do they have affiliate links in them? You might be able to track down the culprit that way.

Contact a lawyer and make a report to the police.

If I understood, you are basically saying someone used your credit card to buy $20,000 of ads (using your adwords account). You should immediately remove all cards from that account and call the cc company to let them know it is compromised. I would let my lawyer contact Google.

Yes, if it was on credit, you can file a chargeback with your CC company or bank.

    Hi friends

I have a similar issue. Even my account got compromised but the amount spent was not too big ($100). What i m more interested in is to track who did that. The landing page he used was a site that is privately registered. Can anybody help me getting the Information out of that private registration company.

    Thanks

    www.domaintools.com

Go to that website and put in the website url, you are looking information on. It gives some details about the owner.

Or you can also go to www.godaddy.com . They have that kind of tool as well.

the best thing would to be to change your account, and then check it more often or ask google if they have any extra steps you could take in order to prevent this from happening in the future...or use pre pay so that they cant charge a crap load of money like that
