it could be a google error, or the googlebot found virus software when crawling the website

In my case I am fairly sure that some hacker had written scores of redirects into my source code.
I went to Google Webmaster Tools and requested a review after I had cleaned up my site...and also tightened up my FTP security

Something has been detected. Could have virus or trojan within the coding.

This is old news. It's a feature Google's been testing for ages, but can't get it right, as it seems.

Probably some tracking software added to the site. When I see those I dont go back to the sites and I close the page immediately.

This kind of message actually display by Internet browsers i.e. IE, Firefox etc. When someone complain about a site regarding virus, fishing, clone website for tracking information (i.e. PayPal clone etc.) or if Internet browsers found any misleading activity on a site, then this type of popup message occur. And another reason could be for the Antivirus that you're using. Antivirus also prevent users from viewing website if any kind of virus found into that website.

Google just does checks with some security websites in order to check if the website has ever been reported malicious or is being reported so from some users :) Helps keeping safety all around, dont'cha think guys?

Thats weird that an error like that would come from Google. It might just be your settings on your antivirus software that is displaying the error.
