If you have a vps with cpanel, install configserver security and firewall. It has a ton of security features and is free. http://www.configserver.com/cp/csf.html. If you need help installing this my AIM is GabeMROCKS.

If that doesn't work, try a host that has a hardware firewall, and sells hosting specifically for DDosed sites.

EDIT: If you have any questions about botnets, etc. please feel free to contact me.

You did not give us enough time to monitor the attack. I told you that I was going to talk to the Server Admin about it in the morning but when I logged on to my email this morning, I found a email stating that you requested a refund. If you had given us more time, it would of been sorted.
We have invested in thousands and thousands for DDos protection on our servers, we rarely have a DDos attack that gets through our protection - If this does happen, our Server Admins work and work until it's sorted.

I can understand that you have had alot of stress finding a host that will handle your DDos floods but we would of helped you the best we can.

What type of dos are they doing? If it's a syn flood, then i read somewhere that you can setup a proxy that only forwards completed connections to the server. Eliminating spoofed ips.

I hope you have your problem sorted out.

    Regards,
    Devon
