Yes, you should only have 1 or 2 h1 tags per page, anything else of importance you should use h2 through h6 accordingly.

You should be using Hx's to give structure to your page. Even if there were no search engines, you should be using headings appropriately. It just so happens that if you structure your page appropriately there'll be some SEO benefit.

Headings help your visitors get the information they want from your page.

Hx tags are used to outline your document to mark the major points of your page content.

H1 tags are used to indicate your topic while H2 tags indicate specific points you want to make about your topic.

There is nothing wrong with using the same keywords in the title as well as an h1. But using the same keyword in the h2 would carry less weight than an h1 and might also be considered as keyword stuffing.

It's best to use H2 tags for subheadings within your article that uses your H1 tag as a title. Don't use the same keywords - but use keywords in the same genre.
Search engines will like this because it's emphasising what your page topic is about, so your page will probably be more likely be to appear in a search for your chosen page topic.

You should use H2 to describe the sub-content that follows. To optimize the tags' effect, try not to repeat the same stuff as in the titles and H1..
