Hi, I use WordPress with K2 theme on my site but the theme use H2 header in sidebar and H3 for headlines.

May it influence SEO optimization of my site? Because H2 would imho contains more important keywords => headlines...

    Thanks...

I've heard that it's best to use H1 & H2 in the proper order, but that more weight is given to the H2 tags.

H1 has always greater weight then H2 and we should use H1 first and then H2. But in your case, theme use H2 header in sidebar and not using any H1 header. So it not much effect much your website SEO optimization.

using heading tags adds weight on your keywords.
Put your keywords or keywords phrases on heading tags usually H1 tag

I agree but remeber not to over use H1, Google can mark you as spammer.

I suggest one or two sentences per page with H1

yes, the H1 tag has much of weight, but as Greg Carnegie said you shouldn't play with it.
