H1 tag. Should it be same for every page or doesn't matter?

Hi, I'm using an image with "alt" as a logo, therefore i won't be using a H1 for site's text title. For SEO, what will be the next good use of H1?

Should i use H1 as page title or should i just use H2 as page title and forget about H1? And of course, every page's title will be different. Which makes me wonder if H1 should be same for every page or it doesn't matter? :-/

    thanks in advanced!

Put the most important keyword/keywords on H1 tags.
H1 should be different for every page as you would be targeting different keywords on different page.

H1 h2s etc are powerful. Remeber to put a title on them as well.
    <h1 title="Keywords relevent keywords"> Your keyword rich title</h1>

Make sure you use h2s in the same way throughout your page as much as possible.

Oh and you can also use title on the most random things as well. Such as <span class="redtext" title="keywords"> highlighted changed keyword text </span>

you can also use style sheets to control how the h1 text is displayed
