Hi, Is there any such thing as over using H2 tag on a page? I want to use one H1, 5 H2s, and many h3s Is this format ok? are we only allowed to use one each? Thank you in advance.
You can only focus on H1.. it tells Search engines that it is the heading. so they'll give some importance to it. I don't think H2s and H3 are given any attention by Search engines..
Just use H1 once in every pages.... H2 and H3 are also effective....you can use this in all pages but do not forget to apply H1 and then you can use H2 and H3.... As long as your site looks good to your users and the H2 tags aren't loaded with keywords you are fine. Review your site when you are done and see if you would want to visit your website. If you do, than you are good to go.
You can use H1 tag if you need but it will give search engine too many important thing and in this scenario search engine will not be able to emphasize any H1 tag and the concentration of search engine on perticular keyword will distribute. it is not advisable from SEO point of view. the solution is you can make new page for every important keyword or service where you will justify all pages with its targeted keywords.

don't go beyond H2. use H1 only for one time on the page and use H2 for not more than 3 times for a sentence.
