Yep, that is exactly what google wants you to think.

But I seen it with my own eyes. Lower PR pages will rank higher than higher PR Pages using Bold, Italics, Underline and Red Fonts

So I tried it myself and it works great.

everything i have ever read has said that search engines do not recognize color, so that nullifies everything you have said in this thread.

If people kept believing everything everyone said or read then the earth would still be flat and the moon would be made out of cheese etc...

I have tested it and seen it with my own eyes. <font color=red> will rank you higher than <h1>

Also, google has a funny ranking algorythm to help confuse the auto generated spammers that build 100,000 page automated sites.

When you build your websites, seperate the words in your your keyphrases with other words like this:

In your Title tag, instead of this
    <title>24 Karat gold rings</title>

    Do this instead
<title>Beautiful 24 Karat Sparkling Gold Rings and More</title>

See how I seperated the main keyphrase "24 Karat gold rings" by adding the word "Sparkling".

This will also help you rank higher for the keyphrase "24 Karat gold rings" because google has some kind of automated filter that filters pages with the exact keyphrase someone searches for.

Do the same thing in your on page optimization too. Not just in the title tag, and mix it up a little so you have your keyphrase broke up all over the page in different combinations. like this...

"Our rings are made of 24 karat beautiful pure gold"
"All gold rings are 24 karat gold"
    etc...

Mix it up as much as possible and try to avoid using the exact keyphrase you are targeting.

Try it! It works pretty good.

I've been wondering about this. Is it ok to use more than one instance of a h2 on a page. One h1 and 2-3 h2's
