You can do 3 way link exchange, google now frown at reciprocal links. You do link exchange with a related link to your niche and a higher PR site.

    Link Trading

    55. Swap some links. What?! Did we really just recommend reciprocal link building? Yes, on a small scale, and with relevant partners that will send you traffic. Stay away from the link trading hubs and networks.

    56. In case you didn't get the memo — when swapping links, try to get links from within the content of relevant content pages. Do not try to get links from pages that list hundreds of off topic link partners. Only seek link exchanges that you would consider pursuing even if search engines did not exist. Instead of thinking just about your topic when exchanging links, think about demographic audience sets.

YOu need to directly search for and contact webmasters who are interested in link exchange and belong to your theme

Yep that's the way to do it. You can also go here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=53 and search for other people looking for link exchange partners.

    Concentrate on one way links

Reciprocals are a waste of time ...

Try to visit a directory site and then go to your niche. I'm sure there are certain sites listed there that you can exchange link with them.

You need good SEO software to handle the exchange links. But the software is not free. It is good investment for your business.
