You need to research conversion analysis, especially if you go the PS3 route. There are a lot of improvements you would need to make your website sell more effectively and increase conversions.

Since you are new to this I would suggest doing article marketing first and produce 30 high quality article a week minimum (ramp it up higher if you can) and study how that traffic converts (and improve it). At the same time research on-page SEO to increase SEO traffic.

If you want the store to last in the long term with Google avoid dodgy link building practices like mass submission - they don't work and are more likely to cause you problems down the road.

Doing this will give you a good introduction to online marketing and SEO and prepare you for paid traffic.

When you understand your conversion funnel better and have improved how well your ecommerce store sells, then you could try PPC and other forms of paid traffic. I'd recommend buying a course on PPC to help cut down the learning curve, or hiring a respected PPC professional and do profit sharing.

If your budget is low then I would first suggest SEO. Research SEO (on-site and off-site) and learn how to get your site to rank for certain keyword. Don't pick keywords that are too competitive, but something that you could realistically rank for.

Make a list of the phrases you want to rank for and keep working at it.

If you have some money to spend, look into PPC advertising (but make sure you use a tracking system like Prosper202, Bevo Media, or LambdaTracker).

SEO may be the best if you are marketing on a budget. PPC is the fastest route but you must know what you are doing or you will lose a lot of money. My personal suggestions is to choose 5 to 10 keywords, write 10 articles, spin all ten articles and submit them using a good article submitter using your keyword as anchored text.

This strategy will help you to generate thousands of unique article backlinks and also rise in the serps for you keywords.

I would try and avoid PPC or other paid advertising to start out. You need to tap into the cornucopia of free advertising space out their like classified ads, social networking, social bookmarking, and article sites that are waiting for you to tackle them.
