Ok I will be launching my Graphic Designing Business in Mid-June Sometime. The site would be pure flash with SEO as mentioned by http://www.seoconsultants.com/articles/2598/flash/ So thats not my issus. I need ideas about the Meta Tags and some other things. About the Meta, I wish to ask whether I should add them to my Index.html or not? Which Meta Tags would be suitable for my kind of site? About other things, I want to ask that what should I keep as a Means of Contact, I am thinking of Help Center Live for Support, and Contact Form for design requests, though I am not sure about Forms. I read somewhere that they are not effective. Any ideas on that. What other things should I put on the site, for User Support?
This is just my opinion, take it for what it's worth: I absolutely hate sites that are 100% flash. This is for a couple reasons: The first is that you will probably be alienating a good number of internet users who have flash turned off/not installed on their browsers (I would be one of those). Second, my experience with sites that are 100% is that they are slow (to load) and obnoxious. Just something to think about. Question: How come you decided to go 100% flash?
I agree with you and then some; Flash shuts out all users that require accessibility features. You're taking a big risk both on the SEO side as well as accessibility, standards, etc. Flash is best used for basic stuff, not complete interfaces. Okay, I'm done ranting now. As far as the meta data is concerned, it should be placed on your index file. If your site is pure Flash, I'm assuming that you wouldn't even have another page, correct?
Well technicically yes, the whole site would be flash based, as that is the only coding I know till now. ...... However I might change my plans. However I can make pages in that like Normal PHP, HTML, if that would do me any good. So you guys recommend I should go for PHP Instead?
PHP is a better option than Flash. Consider someone coming to your flash site on a slower connection. It might take ages to load and it may not even load completely for some. thumbs up for php
Open your flash file, click "Test Movie", then go to "view" -> "simulate download" (you can also change on what connection would someone be in "simulate settings")
