Guys, I need some professional advice

    Hi guys,
I have a website which sells FRS energy drinks and powders. Please take a look at it here. I have a few doubts on this.

I need to market my site, promote it, bring traffic, and make people buy that energy drink from that site. The point is - it's only meant for the US. The product ships only to places in the US, not anywhere else.

    I have two doubts.

    1. Which do you think is the best way to promote this site? Basically, it's like a squeeze page with some info on the product being sold. I can guarantee that the drink is damn good and it's worth the money. But how do I convey this message to people?

    2. I need only US traffic. How do I do this?

I'd appreciate some help from some of the pros out there. Thanks very much.

PS: I hope this is the right place to ask this question. If it isn't, I request the mods to move it to the appropriate section. Thanks.

    many solutions
    my share:

    1.
install openx (free open source ad server ) with geotargetting, offer your ads to US visitors only ( geo-IP filtered )

    2.
offer all other visitors G adsense or other products / affiliates

its never possible to limit traffic to US only and it also would make no sense at all

Just so you know the button "drink information" does nothing.
You could use some more articles too.

One of the ideas would be getting links/link exchange from fitness sites.

I can think of several right now. But, contentedge, before you head off down that advertising road, you should revamp your site. No offense, but it isn't that good.

    Hi -

Well I agree that you absolutely need to clean up the site - you might want to talk to some programmers or do some research with our pal, google. It doesn't have to be a sparkly, image of perfection - even a clean simple layout will serve your purposes.

Now when you're on the Internet and ESPECIALLY - I think - when dealing with US consumers, a lot of your mission will be to convey your professionalism and legitimacy. List a physical address and phone number if you can - people say links online are like gold - well I think you need to link yourself with offline companies. See if you can get companies or managers to endorse your product or the major component in your product, which might be in other products they have tried.

Testimonials are big for developing trust.

Information comes from an Authority. You need to make information readily available. I see you have a "drink information" link but it's a little too soft rather than actually informing people of the drinks. Very structured, professional looking sites can afford to be soft because that adds balance. But a soft-looking site, with a soft sales/informati,onal approach will come off as lazy or amateur, and thus - not to be trusted. See if you can link to any information sites or articles you find and then give your opinoin about those articles.

Research the competition and see how they're sites look. Get ideas.

Also, I'm not sure it's good that the 'science' link opens up and your first sentence is: "I don't know about science, but...." At least direct people to the 'science' of it. Or copy and paste a little snippet if they're copyright allows it - or summarize the science and list some sources at the bottom -- as wikipedia does.

You're also going to want a way to capture email addresses of site visitors because like sam walton said: A customer isn't a customer until he's a repeat customer.

That should keep you busy for a few months.
    Good Luck.
