I use firefox 3. I generally browse sites by typing the the site name in the address bar. I do not enter the URL. So if i have to visit yahoo.com then I will just type "Yahoo" in my address bar..and i will be taken to the yahoo.com..

But i just found that when I enter "yahoo" I am taken to ask.com's search listing for the keyword "yahoo"..

Can anyone help me how to revert it back??

I'm not sure how to revert it back, but you could try typing out those last 4 characters which would take a fraction of a second.

Look in the upper right corner where the "Search Field" is, does it display a "G" for Google??? If not use the Pull Down list and set it for Google search, it may be set for "ASK.com"...

Use Mozbackup utility... It will preserve all the data you want from firefox to a single file and can restore back later.....

Google it to download.. its free
