Guy Threatening me :(

Alright guys, I just got time to post over DP because I thought I would put this UP before I am back in Canada. I had to go through a lot of trouble to actually get online. Anyways here is a threat I got from a guy over RentACoder...

THIS IS FOR $100, FOR FCK sake I sell carpets offline for 50k+ and I would lie for $100. My freaking dad has worked with PRESIDENT OF JAPAN and I would cheat a bastard for $100. I am pissed to death. I work online just for the FUN and CHALLENGING part I careless about MONEY and everyone who has dealt with me knows me. It is not about $100 but the threat this guy is making.

    Check out the THREAT LOL

Btw Tarun is my business partner and a very good friend from India, and this stupid has probably found our posts arounds so he is making this statement, but every single person can check how I talk around DP and how Tarun talks, just to clarify that I do not deal in good business and everyone that I have dealt business even Cuban family guys who own the Maverick
have recommended me. But anyways check the threat....

    ==============================================

Ok, Tamim. This has been enough for me. I have been following your steps since the very beginning. I could go into an arbitration on RAC and I would prove that the program is working fine but I am not going to waste my time with you any longer.

You have till July 14, 11:59 PM (today) to:

    1) Release funds on RAC's site on my behalf.

    2) Rate me 10 for my excellent work!

    3) Pay me a bonus of $ 100 for making me lose my time.

If you do not do the THREE above steps I will:

    1) tell the world who are you!
    1) ruin your reputation on Digital Point.
    2) ruin your reputation on Site Point.
    3) tell the world that you (Tamim Azi[mi]) and tarunkumar_model are the same person.
    4) tell that you are spamming xBoard.us to promote one of your sites: geekpicture.com
    5) ruin your reputation including highendtoolscom, infobuzz.biz, geekpicture.com, providenceconnects.org, stumblerz.com, etc.
    6) I WILL USE THAT VERY SAME PROGRAM YOU SAY IS NOT WORKING TO SPAM THE WEB TELLING WHO TAMIM AZIMI IS!!!

Note that I am not going to open a discussion on this, so do not reply me. If you insist on not paying me, just wait for July 15.

    SoftGuardian

P.S.: You told was going to Tokyo on business, didn't you? What about much nearer... to Mexico!

    Thats pretty bad Ernest.

So what you going to do ?
I am even surprised to read this here cause I think you are much mature beyond your years and know well not to worry about such threats.

I don't know what transpired out there.
I do know you are great to work with, very helpful, dont deal in small change and all of that means you must surely have not been on the wrong part of this deal at RAC.

    Hope everything is sorted.
    Wish you well.

    Tk care !

I would agree, we do not know what had transpired between you and the programmer. It isn't nice to bring a disagreement public. It would be much harder to solve it in public when a nice talk privately may settle it in much more amicable terms. Anyway Best of Luck!

I agree, act like an adult and handle your own issues without whining in public. The coder has an obvious problem with you, not your daddy, so either pay for the work you received or use the arbitration services available from RAC. Don't push this out in public because you aren't willing to complete your deal.

If $100 is no big deal as you have indicated, then pay the guy.

Yeap you pay $100, you may not know if the next demand is for $1000. Though a good talk no matter what should yield better results on a Win Win scenario rather than a bad fight in public.

Some people need to take a chill. Make sure you inform local authorities if he makes any physical threats.

It wasn't a violent threat. It's a contract dispute, it needs to be resolved at RAC and not in a forum where the other party doesn't have the opportunity to present his side of the issue.

Note that we were not told why the coder has not been paid, just that the coder is upset about getting cheated for his work. This issue really doesn't belong anywhere but RAC dispute resolution.

Pay him for what he did, but don't pay the bonus and don't rate him a 10. He'll go away, all he wants is money

It appears the 'program does not work', it's pretty clear if you bothered to read the opening post.

No we do not have both sides of it, that much is true.

As far as 'This issue really doesn't belong anywhere but RAC dispute resolution.'

According to the post the other user/coder has threatened to come to other forums to ruin the OP's rep. One of the stated forums is DP, sure appears to be it would be fully relevant to post at a forum that someone is supposedly going to try to ruin your rep wouldn't you say?

    4) You will do my dry cleaning for 3 months.

I think this coder skipped a few chapters of "How to Win Friends and Influence People".

I don't find any clue-why did you post it here? Can any DP member help you in this matter? If you are really worried then try to be away from Mexico :D.You got this threat in online and you got scared!!I got many threats on phone from people of my own city and never got scared.Because how could he find me?
And about reputations-if you did good works in past then you will have many friends to stand beside you.So what to worry?

Better avoid him in all means.

Just scare him by telling him that legal fees is no problem for you and that you will take him to court if he causes you "mental trauma", loss in business etc etc by ruining your net reputation. And if the software he coded for you doesn't work, just tell him to go to hell andwarn him about the legal action you'll be taking if he does any of that.
Anyhow, I suppose that this is what happened with that coder:
When you asked him to code a software or whatever, instead of coding it himself, he just paid another guy to code it for a cheaper price, Now if you do not pay him, he'll go in big loss which he probably can't afford.

Anyhow, contact RAC about this and if possible, attach a copy of that software in order to prove that it isn't working.

So I guess that you paid him for a forum poster or some other kind of spamming software :D

Personally I think this should be posted on here some where. Digital point reputation is a valuable commodity and word of mouth on here is important, if someone is scamming I would like to know about it, just my 2 cents.

Agree with ThisIsOli, if someone was scamming I would want to know about it and Digital point is a big reputation to lose. But the idea of a $100 bill for lost time really disgraces me. Did he demand to be payed before the start? Because if he did you shouldn't have hired him.
