I have tried gumtree once to promote Aff Program, It is very impressive, I managed to get a great result for a single posting. To be frank, to get the good result, it mainly depends on what kind of products and services that you are offering, some work some not. In addition, to post on gumtree, you must follow theirs posting guideline properly, if not, u will gain high chance to get flag.
Hi To be frank, last time i posted my aff link (dating) directly in my gumtree ad (after that I just found out it is not allowed to post the direct aff link in gumtree), but within 8 hours my ad has been canceled by the admin due to their posting guideline. Amazingly, within the 8 hours, I managed to generate nearly 100 sign up through my aff link. That's all is my the only little 8 hours result with gumtree. SO far, I still finding the right way to promote my affiliate product or services in gumtree and craigslist.
Hi. Gumtree is now buying versions of automated listing programs to protect it from huge amounts of spam listings. To keep your adds live and on Gumtree it's better to use a form fill tool.
