I play a customized Players Strat through a vintage Sunn amp. but drums are my main choice. The guitarist in my band plays: Les Paul with custom active Zakk Wylde pickups Custom strat with one hot rails pickup at the bridge 1 marshall JCM900 straight cabinet 1 marshall 1960a slant cab (for sale on the site listed in my sig) Mesa Goggie Dual restifier Dimebag Wah pedal Boss Noise suppressor pedal Monster cables all around Check out the link in my sig, not the studio recordings, but they are pretty good.
I have several guitars but I wouldn't know what they were because I don't play them, barely even touch them.
I have a few, but I've been playing, recording, etc. for a lot of years... Got a few keyboards and other stuff also...
I build a custom Fender Stratocaster. Its a Standard Mexican with a left handed neck. The neck has had brass nut and abalone inlays installed. Japanese reissue pickguard. All hardware has been rusted out. Click Here to see more pictures.
I got a heap of guitars, love them all! Favs are an emerald green PRS custom 24, chrome/silver PRS CE22, Teal Flip Top Les Paul Studio and a frankenstrat made out of various American Strat parts I accumulated.
Nice guitars, fellas. I own a Gibson Les Paul studio (vintage red) and Standard LE (Manhattan blue). The amp is the Line 6 Spider II 210 but am selling it to a guy tomorrow. Once sold, I plan to purchase a Marshall amp, but which model? I don't know yet.
Since I don't do gigs and plan to use the amp at home only, I guess it would have to be a combo? I like to play rock and probably will try blues later on. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Go for a combo...personally I like Marshalls...I have an old Valvestate amp that is small enough for home, or I could use it for a gig if I needed to..It has enough power... Now, onto my collection.... Alvarez Koa custom (orchestral size, mainly for fingerstyle) Mid 70's Alvarez 12 string (one of the martin lawsuit guitars, rosewood and spruce, custom pickup installed) A banjo a mandolin, And my baby, a Custom dreadnought martin...rosewood and spruce, cutaway, custom fishman pickup..you name it. I was playing a Dave Matthews/Tim Reynolds cover gig with a guy for about two years...and this was my main ax. I don't see how Tim does all the solo's without a cutaway, but hey, thats why he is better than me.
