this is true..practice is the key.. playing guitars or any instrument i think is a skill that you can master over time..
Well I do play guitar. And one thing I can say is: If you really are interested to learn how to play guitar, then you should practice always with patience and perseverance.
I always practice passively. I've been playing for awhile now and nothing is challenging. For me, touring is practice enough.

As a nightclub owner, I hired a pianist and a drummer to entertain my customers. After several performances, I discovered that the drummer had walked away with some of my valuables. I notified the police and he was arrested. Desperate for another drummer, I called a friend who knew some musicians. "What happened to the drummer you had?" he asked me. "I had him arrested," I replied. We said good-bye and hung up. A few minutes later my friend called back and asked, "How badly did he play?"
I do know how to play guitars, drums, and bamboo flute. I have a band right now who plays alternative songs and I'm the vocalist. Whenever we have gigs and our guitarist is not available, i tend to be the guitarist at the same time being the vocalist advice? hmmm... just practice. that's it.
^^^nice! well, i play guitar when i was on high school, but right now, i dont have time to practice. my guitar was completely wrecked.. its really good to practice a lot and play guitar with others, you can really learn from them. practice, practice and practice
