Why submit to multiple search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, and Altavista if you also buy links?! i mean , this search engines will fid you anyway ...

 

If you read the whole thread, which is tedious but around the first few pages, I restate that tip and tell that its better to stay away from submitting, but sitemaps are always good.

On the first post you say:
"Basically if you post a lot on a forum and put a link on your signature you should get some backlinks depending on how many posts you get."

Could somebody give some info about links in forum signatures?
Let's say I have about 500 posts on a PR3 forum,and I have a link to my website in my signature.How good is this?Do they count as 500 backlinks?
If I place a banner which links to my website in my sig does it count as a backlink too?

I have not really tested it out on most forums. I only have sig links on a PR5 and PR7 forum.


First of all, it depends how good the site is indexed . Try doing a check on iwebtool for the site or going to backlinkwatch.com and check how many backlinks they have. If they have a few thousand backlinks and are deeply indexed in google chances are you will have at least 75-100 backlinks on forums from that 500 posts.

I have quite a few from DP here maybe around 75-125 from around 375 posts I have.

If you have a banner I am pretty sure it counts too.

 

Thanks for the answers Ratman2050.I used the tools you suggested and found out that the forum has less backlinks than I could imagine,only around 2000!
By the way,backlinkwatch.com is a great tool!
But I can't understand what OBL("Outbound Links which means total external links found on backlink giving webpage.") is.Does it mean total external links to the website I'm checking or total external links in general?
And one last question,let's say my website has around 500 backlinks from PR1 to PR4 websites.Can I estimate what my website's PR will be on the next PageRank update?

but PR prediction is just like Life Prediction, you don't know exactly whats going to happen so don't be overly dependend on it
