Guide or tool for planning complex site?

Is there a software tool and/or business plan template that will help me to design and layout plans for a somewhat complicated site?

I do not plan to program the site myself, just provide layout, specs and direction to a designer and web developer.

Thank you in advance for your responses!!!!

I am not sure as to whether there is a tool for this but i always finds it helps to draw a site map so you can clearly see what pages link to what and what links back to what.

    hope this helps

Rob,Thanks for the tip on a site map. Do you mean like a hand written flow chart kind of thing? You wouldnt have a link to an example of what that would look like by chance? Thanks, kbomb

yeah just like a hand written flow chart so you can see exactly where you can go from each individual page and then from that page where you can and cant go. id sta away from the example of what it would look like unitll you know exactly what pages can and cant link to others.

If you're looking to wireframe or layout your site, then LucidChart is a pretty easy wireframing software.

brain storm on paper, come up with the concept and find out what you want to use in terms of language, php, CSS, CMS, etc.
your best bet is to simply jot down on paper your overall layout, pages, etc. brainstorm
