I hope this guide will help you choose the right domain names and register them. If you have a web site, you should seriously consider registering your own domain name. More about what is a domain name you can read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_name. 1. First of all, you need to pick an unique name for your business. Etc. if you sell used cars, you should think the top keywords that will come to anyones mind while searching for cars on the internet, such as "cars", "used" "vehicles" "automobiles" "transport" and so on. Note: avoid using a name that is longer than 10 symbols (names like amazinglygoodbutusedcarssales.com) Note2: avoid using same adjacent letters (for example, if you want to name your website Marc Cars, the domain name would be marccars.com and when you tell people the URL they can mishear the second letter C and put in marcars.com). Note3: make it easy to spell and remember. Avoid using difficult words and keep it simple (like usedcars.com instead of quahogsvehicles.com). Note4: avoid Copyright Infringement. Make sure you do a decent research on your domain name and make sure it is not used even partly elswhere. Note5: do not use special characters that you think will make your domain fancy and unique. It does not. It only complicates formatting and peoples memory. 2. Registering your domain. Getting a domain name involves registering the name you want using a domain name registrar. For example, if you choose a name like "bestcars.com", you will have to go to a registrar, pay a registration fee that costs around US$10 to US$20. That will give the name for a year, and you will have to renew it annually for usually the same amount of money. Note1: If you already have a place to host your site, try to get the names of their primary and secondary nameservers from them. The information can usually be obtained from their FAQs or other documentation on their site, usually under a category like "domain name" or "DNS" or "domain name transfer" and the like. If you can't find it, email them. You'll need the information to point your domain name to your website after you buy your domain. 3. Choosing the right registrar. More info on what is a registrar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registrar. Don't be hasty and don't pick the first registrar you come intact with. Make sure you read all the FAQ's and most importantly the terms and conditions. Always check the type of the payment, there can be a hidden fee for the domain name support that you need to pay each month. The biggest registrar is the GoDaddy website, it has alot of offers, but I recommend you do a research on your local companies, because they can do you a discount if you are using their hosting services. You can also use Europe Registry Or Only Domains Note1:You will need either a credit card or a PayPal account or a VirtualVisa to pay for the domain. This is a requirement of most if not all registrars. After you registered your domain you can think about creating your own website if you do not have it yet or where to host it. Usually the registrars offer the hosting services aswell. Hope this helps. Any feedback appreciated. Vincentas
When talking about virtual CC, it is risky. Most of the times registrar may ask you to upload the CC's photo to prevent from fraud. In such a case you have to face a big problem if you used a VCC.
