Hey, here is a short and very guide to using Google to build .edu back links. For the full guide, and some advanced search strings for refining your search and finding relevant .edu sites, check out the How to Build .edu links post on my blog.

    Step 1
    Go to www.google.com

    Step 2
Type this in your search bar:
    site:.edu inurl:blog
    Code (markup):
This returns all sites which are .edu that have blogs. you can now browse through them to look for blogs which allow comments

    Step 3
Additionally, you can add, "post a comment" to the search query, so that only it returns .edu blogs which allow comments
So the final search query looks like:
    site:.edu inurl:blog “post a comment”
    Code (markup):
    Step 4
Post comments which are insightful and add value, along with a link to your site. DO NOT SPAM. Only comments which are well written and relevant will be approved, so don't waste your time just commenting nice post etc, they will be deleted.

That is about it. Hope you like this post. Comments are appreciated. Also if you have some other methods, please feel free to add. For advanced search strings and to refine your search more, read the full guide on my blog. The link is given at the top of this post.

You can also check out my other post on DP, on how to find High PR Dofollow blog Posts

That was a good information. However, much of edu site using nofollow. I think it is useless if we comment on nofollow blog

true, but if you look around, you might find a couple which dofollow. Also, nofollow links help with some search engines.

Yes. Simply replace the .edu with anything like .gov or .mil or .org

There are a few search strings like that I've seen that you can put into search engines. It's also very helpful to be using FF and the "nodofollow" plugin to make your life easier and a bit less risky when leaving comments.
