Guide : Choosing a Domain & .net vs .com

I have created quite a few guides and posts on my website for blogging tips. So I want to share them with the users here at DP forums. Most are for beginners, who are looking for a little direction.

I have created a short but informative guide that talks about how to choose a domain name, what to do and what not to do, and the difference between .net and .com domains.

If you find it helpful please share with others. Let me know what you think.

The only time I would get a .net (or other TLD other than .com) is if you are getting a generic keyword domain and branding is not an issue. For example, taxguide.net could be a good domain name to get, but AcmeTaxGuide.net would not (because too easy to confuse with AcmeTaxGuide.com)

Hey how did you get that toolbar at the bottom of your blog? It's cool.

Oooo that is a secret I can't tell you. Just kidding, it's called Wibya toolbar found at http://www.wibiya.com/ . Very helpful, you can customize it and add a lot of cool stuff. Check it out!

Thanks to everyone for checking out my guide. I have been busy so I haven't made new ones, but I will work on a lot more for sure. Appreciate the feedback
