Guardhost.net review

    We purchased a server through guardhost.net to offer to our new customer and had no response under the 3 - 72 Hours Setup as promissed on their website. We already sent a ticket to them explaining that our customer can't wait for server setup and on this period, we had purchased other server in another company.

    We already asked the chargeback before the server instalation. Only now, without any responses, they sent us the server info, after four days.
    The another problem is that they installed FEDORA OS instead CENTOS 5.

    This seems that the product/service is defective under two circunstancies:
    - The OS that is installed was wrong. We asked CENTOS and CPANEL doesn't work on FEDORA.
    - We had no response since we purchased it. And we had to take an action to give the server to customer as promissed.

    So if you want to have an order on this company, just think on it.
    Also want to say that support is really slow - they only answer after few days!!!

    Why don't you just give them a call?
    Its more faster that using a ticket.

    I think guardhost are possibly the worst!. i have had atleast 5 weeks downtime so far this year, one month solid downtime, my site dropped 2.5 million places in alexa. the support is so bad, no reply for days, most days i have downtime on my site. recently they had a cpanel bug and te daily backups they say 'they offer' aren't there, I lost over 1000 videos, alot of paid mods, all my ad campaigns, over 100 members all lost. i have lost los much traffic that i have spent a year building, time and money has been lost and they offer nothing! Its a struggle to get cpanel access as its down so much, there site is only 80% functional, there online support does not work, neither does their phone number.

    I would reccomend people to stay well away, i am in the process of changing hosts but with cpanel being down so often its even hard to leave them. They still invoice me monthly though... probably the only feature that works the way it should...

    they quote 99.9% uptime, i reckon i've had about 65% this year. Really really bad hosting compay. its micky mouse and definitely run in someones bedroom!

    Be safe, look after your interests and websites. dont use guardhost.net
