So many of you care so much about PR. I don't understand why, but here is a quick guide on how to boost your PR to 2 or 3 by the next update. If you insert your anchor text, you can get some serious ranking boosts. It really depends on how much you milk this system. First of all, all blog commenting is spam. If you insert your anchor text as your name w/ your website URL, you are spamming. Quality comment or not, you're tagging your link in places where it isn't wanted. Sure some sites allow it (the low quality blogs that are desperate for some activity), but 97% of the other ones don't... and they will delete your comment no matter what. Therefore, you need to find the 3% (random number) that do allow your comments on their site. Also, you want to find blog posts (IMPORTANT: this is not the home page!) that have high PR & dofollow, and they don't delete your sites. I'm going to teach you how to find them. I cannot give you a list, because if everyone comments in the same places, the PR juice will all be gone. Guide to High PR blog commenting: 1) Get the google toolbar. You will need to be able to check what the PR of the website is. You will only comment on pages that have PR 1+. Using this method, you get tons of pages that are PR 1 - PR 7. All free. 2) Next, you will need to find one of those China websites that pretty much spams the entire Internet. They're really good with getting high PR links especially from forums and blog posts. 3) Some google searches you can make find these China websites: WoW gold, runescape gold, eve gold. Pretty much every website that sells things that violate TOS will work. Also, many of the gaming sites and affiliate sites do high PR blog commenting. 4) Note, not all these sites will have the high PR blog comments you're searching for. You may need to search through quite a few websites before you find a good one. 5) Next, you need to look up their backlinks. Go to backlinkwatch.com. Find all the high PR blog comments. Comment on all of them. Sign up and register for those websites. Note: check for nofollow links. Get SEO for Firefox to check them. 6) With the current list of sites that you blog commented on, use the footprints on the website to find other similar sites you can comment on. Blog comment on all the rest of them. 7) Repeat. Knock yourselves out. Once you're done playing with this method, go build real backlinks. You really only need 1 backlink from one of these sites to get to PR1, PR2. Do not use this method in bulk. Just get your PR, and stop. This method takes a while to understand, just keep playing with it. This is not the most honest way of link building, but most of you guys seem to blog comment, and blog comment for links IMO is all spam. Good luck.
How can spam sites possibly have high PR though? If anything, they should be banned from Google. The method you posted here makes sense though.
So with this method you are placing your links directly below the link to the spam site. If you want your site to be associated with that dogsh*t then go ahead, knock yourself out.
The method makes sense and will probably be effective, maybe only temporarily for gaining organic google traffic. It doesn't go along with the need for relevancy but it does serve its purpose. Your assumption though is wrong that only desperate sites let you use keywords as your name. I know of many powerful and valuable sites that do allow keywords to be used. Many require you to actually tag your post with a name though, and some will request that you write yourname @ yourkeyword. As long as you're making an adequate contribution to the site, they'll likely allow you to keep your comment.
It's pretty much your opinion for blog comments. I believe I included anchor text + URL for blog comments = spam. Real name + URL is different. But, for this method you're finding blogs that are dead, so the owners don't care. It doesn't matter whether you post good comments or not. This method is not probably effective, it is effective. Tried and tested for quite a number of my sites. I don't use it for the high competition keywords, but for the moderate competition keywords you pretty much kill your competition. Just look at the sites ranking for wow gold. It permanently delivers organic google, yahoo, and msn traffic. Choose a good keyword, and use this method to get to the top. Don't waste your time on PR 0 blog posts. Also, it doesn't matter whether those blogs are relevant to your site or not. You will still get the ranking boost. Again, all tried and tested; I know what the results will be.
I just tried this out and it was surprisingly effective. Interesting tip there. Of course, more spam sites will just come in to knock your links out or post many there they're worthless later
I would never want my sites link on the same page as that spam.... bad neighborhood. This is just general bad advice.
people who are saying this is a bad link building technique obviously have never tried it or reaped the success of dofollow blog commenting.. so lucky for us.. less commenter/spammers going after the same sites .. great post and ideas about the china websites... good that you mentioned to use this in moderation.. and don't be too spammy as your comments wont get approved.. there's also a bunch of search queries you can try to find dofollow blogs.. then sort them in firefox using seoquake to quickly go after the high pr comments: "KEYWORDS HERE" "powered by wordpress" "leave a comment" -"no comments" just an example.. u need to think about what a dofollow blog would have that others wouldn't.. some people have even posted about going after the nofollow/dofollow badges that some bloggers like to put on their sites.. to find these good high pr dofollow blogs ya gotta think outta the box, like the crappy china sites idea (because you KNOW they went out and spammed the crap out of the web as that's there style as they have limited link budgets)
I think this needs to be clarified. No, your site will not be penalized unless you build links too quickly. It doesn't matter where your links are coming from. These websites you post on are all authority websites, and they are guaranteed to give you the linking boost. Also, this isn't advice. It's proven to work. Just look at all the people ranking for wow gold. And, you don't need to drop your link at the same places they do. Please think a little, and you'll realize there are massive numbers of blog posts w/ PR w/o a single comment at all. My first test with this link building scheme, I made $200 the first month, $600 the second month, and 1k the third month off of just 1 website for a pretty competitive niche. And, it hardly took any time. Use it correctly and your website will rank. So, bad advice, maybe. But when I'm dominating the top 3 spots for a money keyword... Combine this with web 2.0 backlinks and you're set for some good traffic. This is just a strategy. If you don't like it, move on. If you like it, try it. I know a lot of you are frustrated b/c your websites aren't ranking. This will definitely help. But don't abuse it or you may see some wild google rankings.
