Northpoint , heck i think any thread that disagrees with the view that we didnt help destroy democracy in iran in the 1950's needs to be closed, but dp is a very liberal forum which gives all sides a chance to present their views.
I guess its ok when he calls ags a terrorist supporter which we all know (including gtech) isnt true.
I truely believe that gtech is secretly going to vote for ron paul:) and join the quest for true democracy:).

Ping, I guess I draw the line at aliens inhabiting the brains of politicians and exerting mind control on us poor unfortunates as "the limit of reason."

As to AGS, I haven't seen a single thing of worth coming from his posts, and I am actually not certain he has anything other in mind than the hatred of the country I come from - truly. He will make protest otherwise, of course, but he will malign my fellows with unmitigated vitriol, but with as much sense and fairmindedness as my dog, Olu. Since Olu is Estonian for beer, you get the picture. Nothing worse than a really drunk, pissed off, dumb-as-a-stone Labrador.

Now, I don't agree with Gtech on many things, including this President and this war, but we've always maintained a respectful line with each other; and I respect that he is sincere in his beliefs and doesn't hold to them for show, which I can't say for AGS. While enduring the drivel put out I can't help feeling it's all an act, polemic without substance, and therefore useless.

I do think the recent spat with Grim is a shame, because as I have said I enjoy both their posts and consider them both friends on this forum. I just think's it's gotten out of hand and I'd imagine the two of them will cool their jets at some point to return to civility.

Anyway, guess I don't classify his characterization of AGS in the same league as:

    Etc. My $0.02.

More like he should start his own forum and talk to himself there.

ps: I don't know why so many people reply to/read his threads. Let him and his few others speak to themselves. Your time can be better used somewhere else. I just come here once in a while to take break from coding.

Just leave him and his treads alone...soon he will only speaking to him self and his followers. Here is the question: Who is stupider, fool or the fool, that follows the fool?

I respect all beliefs but when your given the facts and still try to twist them around its different. I have always respected gtechs power of debate and his keen mind but i still dont agree with him on this thing. Now i dont believe aliens inhabited anyone bodies, but if knowing my history teaches me anything its that absolute power corrupts absolutely and that even a famous WW2 general warned us to be aware of the growing power of the military industrial complex. Ike was no ham-n-egger, he knew exactly what was going on. Every democracy had this problem from greece, to rome to our day. This is why i feel sorry for Ron Paul even though i respect him very much. He will have one of the toughest tasks in the history of man. I mean the elitists and special interests control most of the important parts of our socie3ty from military to the media(which is even more important than the military). This subversion of power is as old as our species itself.

I will agree with you on this, he is now the 'underdog' In the beginning however he was not even remotely close to the underdog. It's funny how things change in a few years. He's one of the very few on his side left, even the few left that would have been on his 'side' don't post often, and almost always avoid the war type threads. I wont bring up names, but I firmly believe they were willing to admit they were wrong on some instances 'not everything' which shows good signs of them IMHO. Several of them I respect as well.
I'd have to agree, a personal attack disguised as a method to give Gtech a word. The guy who started it is a bit out there, to be fair though a few posts to the op by Gtech could be considered personal attacks as well. In any event this is trully off the wall.

Some day I'm sure we will, this isn't the first 'spat' we've had and I'm sure it wont be the last. We are both pig headed, I still strongly believe with 100% honesty Gtech was completely wrong and did nothing more than try to twist/manipulate anything to his advantage. I however know from experience this is the way he plays the game.

    Enough on that though ;)

Personally I like reading your posts, even though I do not always agree with them I find them worded much better than I ever could. You have opinion, facts, and well thought your responses, you don't just jump in for the sake of jumping in. Makes for great reading on my end :D

I'd also be a liar if I said I didn't learn anything from your posts, a few things I had to look up!

    ---ps
I can also admit I can downright be an ASSHOLE, I wont deny it.

You're a good man, Grim, and I think Gtech is, as well. I think both of you want the best for the country, and differ on what you believe that entails.

And you can't own the ASSHOLE title. That is strictly mine. I have a short leash, too often, and wish I didn't get so worked up over meaningless babble - mine as much as anyone's.

Actually, I genuinely wanted to hear his beliefs. Trust me, If I want to make a personal attack, it will burn on a core level.

We're on the same team. The human team, trust me, when we start pulling these baby eating raping reptiles out of the ground, we won't need to argue over george bush anymore.

Are you serious or are you making fun of AGS now?

I don't know your name here yet, so I am being serious.
