I think in the future GTech should put aside our differences and begin a show on Fox News very much like H&C. He can model Hannity the strong, pro-American and i guess i can be like Colmes, the weaker more "anti-American". (Except i would generally have more points to make). what do you think GTech, good revenue? it's too bad i don't look like a bug LOL
You would need to find a nice tinfoil hat first! The talking points wouldn't be difficult though: GTech: We need a strong national security We need to go after those that threaten our existence We live in a great country Nate: Screw national security, if we just didn't bother them, they would be nice to us! We need more compassion to terrorists. They are people too, they have feelings and we shouldn't be making fun of them. Chocolates, aroma therapy, flowers, love! Our country sucks. I know, because my moms picked up the free AOL CD at walmart and discovered the web! Would be fun Remember, just because you are *now* a ron paul supporter, doesn't mean you have to agree with all the nutters who ceaselessly start posts about how bad America sucks. Or does it? Don't sell your morals and values out, just because the people you hang with have. You can be better than them
lmfao!! well actually my talking points would be this: -I stand for a VERY strong national security aswell as a non-interventionist policy. That actually means an even stronger defense if we stick to OUR defensive needs, not every other country on the globe. -No compassion to terrorists, go after bin Laden and put his crew through a chipper when found (doesn't sound too compassionate does it?) Also, don't aid terrorists by giving them an incentive to come here; get out of the countries we don't need to be in. -Our country is great, that's why i'm so passionate about my candidate, I want our Constitution fully restored and put the spotlight on the Obama socialists and liberal Republicans who love big government. And as far as blindly supporting my fellow RP lovers, that is untrue. I am not a 9/11 truther, conspiracy theorist, flag burner, or jew burner. However! I do encourage people's opinions whatever it may be and a free flow of ideas because that is what America is about, free thought. If it is bad enough.. let the market place decide, not the government. The only thing you can really stick to me as far as being anti our country is about the economy and how bad the government has raped it. I don't care if it happened on a R's watch or a D's watch. I am not a red team, blue team republican - i can use rational thought and when given time have an open mind. If we hated our country as bad as you say, do you really think we'd be harping about the Constitution? didn't think so
Obviously you must have guru-seo on ignore. Our Constitution is alive and well. It wasn't created for terrorists and foreign nationals. It's ours. Let's not work to give it away to others. You are aligning yourself with the group here. Are you suggesting there are those here that do not hate America? Surely you cannot honestly read through this part of the forum, and with honesty and integrity, suggest otherwise?
I haven't really looked into RP and don't know too muck anout him other than what I've read in the R&P section. I'm just saying that it's hard to beat the establishment. Guliani, Huckabee, Romney are the favorites. If people are going to take RP seriously he will have to pick up delgates. We will have to see what happens in New Hampshire. RP could pick-up California as anything can happen out there. These used to have Gov. Moonbeam and now Schwarchenegger is running the show.
There is a long history of Americans, I believe it to be more prominant among people leaning Republican rather than Democratic, that tends to a more isolationist perspective. In fact the term non-intervention is similar to isolationism. I read Nate's response that way. I'd wanna have us whup up on Osama also. but for other stuff....I pretty much disagree with both of you. you guys would make for good TV tho. I'd hope one of you would shout a lot and point fingers.
I read what guru-seo posts and i can establish that he doesn't hate America. the politicians and the people who have walked away from our principles maybe? but i haven't seen him say it himself and doubt that he would. I think the picture you have applies to your platform more than anything, do you realize the strategy of terrorism is to take away from our liberties? the Patriot act and other bills trying to be passed are designed to monitor Americans more closely and try to bypass the Constitutional law of individual freedom through the fear and threat of terrorism. I hope you understand soon that when fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross. it's the only way to have both liberals and "conservatives" on the same side, use the threat of terrorism to expand our government.. am i the only one seeing this?
Bogart, Ron Paul has the most delegates in WV so far among any other candidate. Earl Pearl i disagree, non interventionism and isolationism are not one in the same, isolationism includes the lack of commerce and trade with other nations, i don't recall stating that in my platform I am a free-trader and encourage commerce. I can argue to say that it is our current foreign policy makers that are isolationists, by entangling alliances with countries around the world, the enemies of our allies sure will hate us and soon are ex-allies will hate us when they realize they've been used for our own interest. They call it blowback i guess? Here's a reputation point i got from anonymous, "why r u lickin gtechs ass, the guy is scum and ur makin yourself look small" to whoever that was, no i don't lick anyone's ass. however i can respect someone who has different opinions other than my own. it's that type of thinking that creates red team vs. blue team in America and why the 2 party system doesn't work. I consider GTech to be like a Jew is to a Christian, you have one major conflict but for the most part you are for the same thing. whoever wrote that can come out of the closet and prepare to get owned in an intellectual conversation..
Well if delegates is a concern of yours, look into West Virginia. Paul is leading the pack in committed delegates!
West Virginia will be sending 30 state delegates to the national convention. Of those, 9 will be elected in the May 13th primary: three per district, with each district's winner named separately. 18 state delegates will be elected in a winner-take-all state convention to be held on February 5th. The last three delegate slots are reserved for the state GOP leadership. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/states/west-virginia/
Some of the early primaries have been docked delegates for going early. The Super Tuesday states will be sending the bulk of the delegates to the convention. Paul leads WV in committed delegates, and it's the lowest donation state. All delegates were arranged without official campaign help, entirely by the grassroots. We also have a nearly full Illinois delegate slate. We're also 1st on the ballot in Missouri, and one of only 3 campaigns registered for Kansas. RP now has more state offices than any other GOP campaign (except perhaps Giuliani). When you have a strong grassroots which does all of the fund raising and much of the legwork/advertising, the campaign can afford to build a national apparatus. But of course, we'll have to wait for Iowa and New Hampshire to see how this support manifests itself. I'm predicting no worse than a 3rd finish overall, and with some help, taking the GOP nod is a real possibility. I couldn't say that 2 months ago with any confidence.
Nate, this attitude is the future of this nation. Getting beyond partisan politics, and taking an active role in defending liberty. Young people like you are the future of the Republic. Reagan once said,
John McCain tried to accuse Americans of isolationism causing WWII at the last debate. He was of course wrong. An interventionist policy is isolationist. Hitler was an interventionist, and he was isolated. America has never been as isolated in the world as it is today, thanks to rendition, black sites, the wars, bad intelligence, torture, sanctions etc. One only has to watch the BBC to see how even one of our staunchest allies has begun questioning our every move internationally. Non-intervention means not interfering in the internal affairs of other nations. It doesn't mean avoiding treaties, travel or trade. It doesn't mean closing our embassies or refusing to meet with other world leaders. It doesn't mean sealing our borders from people coming in or getting out. Interventionism is synonymous with aggressive war. Hitlers invasion of Russia was pre-emptive, aggressive war. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_crime We all know today that the casus belli for invading Iraq was false. Even Bush has admitted it.
Yes and gtechs first segment would be never to question your government and 2 is mossadegh who?????????????????/ 3. how we saved iran from the commies in the 1950's 4. also lets not forget the segment of how phd's dont mean diddley and time magazines man of the year is an overinflated title But guerilla, gtech says that the wmd's were moved from iraq to its arch-enemy syria loooooooooool , of course there is no proof beyond our government saying this but lets give them the benefit of the doubt anyways.
Judging by Gtech's post count in the Political section of a webmaster forum and the spread of government propaganda one has to wonder if he actually is on the payroll of the Bush and Cheney propaganda machine. Actually I don't even wonder, it makes sense that he is, he contantly protects this corrupt government that lies to its people and covers up. He even said in a thread that I should be thrown in jail. Why cause I am exercising my 1st amendment and questioning my insincere government?
Reminds me of star wars revenge of the sith " if you arent with me, then you are against me" . Sure sounds like extremist thinking to me
That pretty much confirms my observation in my initial reply. As such, you might be interested in the recent challenge I made. Find one thread started by guru-seo that is positive about America and I'll personally contribute $50 to his campaign. Good luck with that West Virginia doesn't win elections. It seems that's about all he might have going for him at the moment. Ceaselessly attacking your country and bad mouthing it day in and day out is not questioning. Some people are not intelligent enough to see the difference, others are. Judging from your posts, in the same category and given the repeated slant they are started in, one has to wonder if you are actually on the payroll of al qaida, or Iran's propaganda machine. Ceaselessly attacking your country is not questioning your government. When a question is asked, and it is answered, does it have to be repeated in every breath taken in life? Actually, if you support Hamas, start posts seeking sympathy for terrorists, rush to the forum to defend terrorists, give terrorist's credit away to others, defend a terrorist country when they illegally capture your country's soldiers, you are a terrorist supporter. Ring a bell, AGS?
