Hi all, I m having one question that what Google is getting by giving free service like Gtalk. With which many people are connected with each other. Please share your views for this topic.. Thanx in advance Rohit
To answer that, i guess we must see what google gets by providing search engine services, advertisement If you notice, Gtalk is only accessible to Gmail user and Gmail contains lots of advertisement when you open your mail, which is targetted to your email content. Thus, by releasing gtalk, google will successfully increase their gmail user and increasing their revenue through advertisement. Just my opinion. maybe there's other expert out there who can provide broader view on this matter
Thanx big.gamma your answer is some what perfect.. but if any other webmaster is knowing more appropriate answer he is welcome..
Its getting more and more people using it just like Yahoo and MSN messenger.... They don't always look for earnings...
Google can provide free services (like email, calendar, reader etc) only with the purpose to drive more customers to their service which they earn from (AdSense, AdBrite, Premium Co-Op services etc).
