Hi, I have been having LOTS of problems with the RAC (uk breakdown service) They owe me £1300 and are being a pain about giving it back... case of a big company being crap I think! If anyone could read my blog and post relevant comments I would be very greatfull! - Also, and backlinks with RAC in the anchor would be nice too! http://breakdownnightmare.blogspot.com/ I am making the RAC aware of this blog, so maybe nothing too rude, but if they see many people talking about it and commenting on how bad they are etc... they would maybe pay me before xmas... or the new year at least as I am low on funds now :-( - Sorry to ask for ya help... thanks in advance!!! Lol, u think so? I think my blog post explains how. Basically they couldnt tow my vehicle back... I said I could get it done, and pay the fee, then they could refund me. In the end they agreed to this... then I am having a nightmare getting the cash back. I am skint and its xmas, and when i wondered what I could do... I thought about making a blog and hitting their image a bit so they would stop being so crap!!! No, i am not just trying to get content for SEO... if I was doing that i would say so. If you doubt me then check my itrader feedback, or anyone I have done business with. I don't try to trick people here... I am just VERY pis*ed off with the RAC for screwing me like this. Read my post... imagine yourself in my situation... would you not be angry? So the way i figure it, if the bloke from the RAC see's that the news of how bad they have been with customer service online, and see's people are commenting on it (and so they are reading it) then they will realise the bad PR they are getting, and it may kick them up the butt to sort it out! If you don't want to comment that's fine! no probs! - No body owes me (except the RAC!!!) but I just thought that maybe some people had experienced bad customer service from big companies before too, and they may want to help me fight them back! - no worries though, it was just a thought.
Its mostly from myself reading your request for backlinks, it would not be important to me, if im wanting to fight back agaisnt a company, unless your looking at turning the blog into a business solely against your frustration with them. Im not knocking you for being annoyed with a company, we have all been through things like that, or will do at some time. I agree , i would be angry too, best of luck to you, hope you get your cash. The request just looked different to me.
Bit different mate, I am not asking for money, or sales or anything. Sarcasm if fine though... maybe your right, maybe I am trying to get backlinks... and i thought it best to use a throw away blogger blog rather than my own domain. Hmmmm. Its cool... there are blaggers on here I know, but I don't do that. I am being up front here... you dont like it fine. Maybe you are just judging others by your own morals. I wouldn't even have thought of trying to blag backlinks in this way. Tell you what. I will guarantee to delete the post once the RAC pay me what they owe, and after i will give the blog (minus the post - or I will edit it to say I have been paid) to you. I don't want it. It was just a vent for my anger, and a way of showing how crap a big company treats its customers.
Yer, I see what you mean now. I wouldn't have thought of trying to get backlinks like that! I added the url... have a read... you will be surprised at how crap they have been! - Even left me stranded on Ibiza island with no hotel at one point through an error on their part! - I had to hire a motorbike in the end and ride accross the island (sounds fun i know, but late at night when you are tired and have luggage a motorbike ride is not that appealing!)
Why dont you go to citizens advice to see what they advise? RAC wont give a damn about a blog, it wont get noticed, an example, godaddy has a site against it, saying that their crap, but they continue to succeed. Can you prove that the charge for the tow back would be £1300?
Be careful because if you do find people to start commenting on the blog and they go too far, then RAC may get annoyed themselves and refuse to deal with it because the matter has not been kept private. Can a solicitor not give out some free advice to you on this?
I posted them a receipt, they say they didn't get it. I have faxed them a receipt now too... I have an email from the control room supervisor guaranteeing to refund £1300 exactly. Do you have the link for the godaddy page?
http://nodaddy.com/ For doing what your doing, i would restrict that to when you wont be using a company again and just want to tell the world how terrible something is. But if your still waiting for £1300 then either keep it between you and them, at least until your credited with it, or contact your local newspaper or something, thing is you need to be quite sure of your case. What if RAC just contact blogger and request a removal of your blog? seen as its not on your own domain.

Yep. That's another thing! they charged me extra for the size of the van! Also paid extra for full europe cover of course!
