Grouping PPC Keywords?

After using keyword country to find keywords, I was happy to have found a huge number of keywords which are relevant & estimated to bring good traffic.

But it's very time-consuming to group them manually! Is there any software that I can use to group them accordingly?

    Yes, Speed PPC :)

But it isn't cheap, but the time you can save...Wooboy!

What it allows you to do, is group keywords by {seed} and {expansion}.

Eg: if you're doing a Financial offer.

Your {seed} keywords are phrases like payday loan, cash loan, fast loan, quick loan.

Your {expansion} keywords are City Names, State Names, Company Names, etc.

Speed PPC will take both and permutate all possible combinations of it, and you can even append your Adcopy with {seed} or {expansion} to make it more relevant, and therefore get a higher CTR%.

It then allows you to export everything to Adwords Editor easily. I've cut countless hours simply by using Speed PPC.

    *End of shameless plug*

But yeah, your scenario is slightly different, since you already have a BIG keyword list, and are trying to group them categorically. Its quite hard to find a software/script that will group them in relevant groups, as that would require Artificial Intelligence, and the best way is to do it manually.

    Hi Fastbuilder,

I have nothing against using software. However if you want to build your skills on developing a great campaign. I would recommend you build your campaign out manually. I guarantee you will learn a lot more doing so. You will get a great insight on what theme to use for copy by grouping your keywords, how to structure the campaign for maximum ROI, and you will know which keywords to dump automatically and more. This is only an option if you want to learn how to do this properly. I hope that Helps.

    Cheers,

I take it you are pretty happy with speed ppc. Can you give me any insight as to what type of campaigns it would be good for? I know you can target individual cities for items such as insurance ppa offers but what else can it do?

I have been strongly considering it. If it would help increase my adwords and msn earnings.

    thanks!

I would not go ahead and jump and group a lot of keywords. what makes you think they are high on traffic? did you check them via the Google keyword tool?
if you did so then do mind that most of the stats there are not so reliable...
you can always separate top impression producing keywords from a general ad group and set it up on its own ad group after you started sending traffic.

By the way if you don't want to use SPEED PPC you can group your keywords in advance using an excel spreadsheet and upload it via the Adwords editor.

    hope this helps
