Hi, I have a PR5 home page that does well in the serps for some pretty competitive phrases. It has around 100 links coming from home page like 'location1 widgets', 'sub-location1 widgets', 'sub-location 2 widgets'; 'location2 widgets", 'sub-location3 widgets' etc etc Many of my sub pages are being listed and getting PR3 / 4 etc, but around half of them have the grey bar with no page rank info available. These pages are still being listed in serps, but aren't as high as I'd like (GW tools registers no back links to the pages either). Any ideas what I can do? The problem must be on-site because I haven't got any external links coming to these pages yet at all. In fact I'm thinking of building these up but if google isn't registering links on these pages then I'm a bit reluctant to start buying in links and spending time on them...
well first it depends on how old these subpages are. you also need to do deep link building to these subpages from external pages. your increasing amount of links on the pr5 homepage is diluting the linkjuice to your new subpages. try linking to your no pr subpages from the subpages that do have nice pr. hope this helps cheers
it might take some time for the juice from the homepage to go to all of the pages, so I would wait a little for all your pages to go up
