Hey people Since this is my first post, I might aswell make it somewhat interesting, yet try not to bore you with an essay. Have I kept your attention this far? Good progress for me. Im an 18 year old website designer / developer, I have run various sucessful and unsucessful online ventures, and have kind of broke even I think. Maybe even a profit. Sucessful So far: Clothing Business - SOLD Ebook Business - Still running (albeit passively) Online game gold business - SOLD Hosting Business - SOLD Website Design Business - Current main business Game Fan Forum - SOLD Currently working on: www.toneproof.com - A streaming platform that allows you to stream music free, currently its just a clone of another site that was a test for my skill, but its turned out pretty well so far. Working on V2 at the moment. Secret - A fansite for a new game, currently gets about 4,000 uniques daily, and the game hasn't come out yet! Secret - A free mobile communication service for people aged 14-24, proving difficulty finding an advertising solution to recoup the cost of it. Languages: XHTML - 10/10 (Yeah i know its easy) CSS - 10/10 (again fairly easy) Javascript - 4/10 (working on this) Flash - 6/10 (working on this too) Java - 5/10 (working on it) PHP - 7/10 (getting pretty good at it now) Im moderate at photoshop. I use notepad++ for all my coding. Personal info: Im 18, I live in England, I work as a freelance website designer/developer, though I currently seem to be doing a lot of work for blockbuster. I have been studying website related stuff since I was 8, so over half my life. My brother works for paypal and he initially sparked my interest in the internet. I come from a quite wealthy family (fortunately) and I have been awarded an MBE (which fellow brits should understand) for my charity work. Why im here? Somethingawful bores me and I would like to share my knowledge with a community of people from a similar background as me, whilst receiving help with anything im stuck on. If i kept you this far, thank you very much for reading
