Hi Everyone, I've been reading this forum for a while and decided to join. Yup, I'm somewhat of a forum junkie with about 16 under my belt. I use them to learn, help out, and just take a break from my 4 online businesses during the day. I live in the Pocono Mountains in PA and work out of my house. I'm a retired teacher/counselor who started working online in 2002 while still commuting 200 miles a day back and forth to the South Bronx. Last June I made the "jump" to full time at age 49. I didn't want to be carried out of the school "feet first" as a crusty old man...besides there are too many things I still want to do in my life that can't be done unless I am self-employed. I love affiliate marketing and have a successful site called the Two Percent Club. This one is my "bread and butter" and I really enjoy the people I "meet" through this site...not to mention the sales. I'll be launching a "private label" country foods site in February/March featuring jams, jellies, fruit syrups and spreads, salsas, pickles, bbq sauces and the like. I am setting it up with an affiliate program that will pay 15% which if you know anything about the affiliate food industry is a very good commission. (Anyone interested in getting on my affiliate waiting list for this one can PM me.) I am also working on an wholesale niche ebook site that will have all new titles with master resell rights and all books will be $7.95....so people can afford them! A few other irons in the fire, too. All these bring in a pretty good income. I love working on my 166 year old farm house and 15 acres...my therapy, and I am a die-hard Yankees fan. Hate football!...LOL Guess that's enough to start off with. I look forward to participating and "meeting" many of you here. Best regards, Jim Guinn
welcome in jim... I'm new too and need to do an intro post in a bit... you did such a nice one that I think I should probably make mine just a little bit longer than I had originally planned... (brat) I saw where you mentioned you were in a 166 year old farm house... that sounds interesting... I was wondering - have you ever traced back the history of your farm house and land ?? Did you find anything especially interesting on the property or grounds for past generations ?? If you ever post pictures of your farmhouse on this board or anywhere - I'd love to see it... Welcome and I hope you post often... ~DomainBell (the auburn haired gal in ohio that loves meeting new people)
Hi DomainBell, We're both "greenhorns" to this group. I could only get back as far as the early 1900's. Nothing remarkable. Jim
I was curious Jim... what do you do with all the herbs you grow on the farm ?? Are those sold wholesale or do you or your partner sell items created with the herbs / lavender ?? ~DomainBell
