I'd just like to say hi to this community. Skimming over the threads it looks like there is a lot of good information. I look forward to sharing my experiences as well as learning from all of yours. First off, I'd like to share with you why I have joined this forum today. You never know who anyone is online - and I know that first hand. What I present to you are facts and things that are real. You can choose to have faith and believe what I say or just pass it off as a crazy story from just another wacko on the internet. I will leave you to your own deductions. I came across this forum a few months ago actually when looking for a forum to join involved with marketing. Several free forums came up in the search, and while this one was on the list, I opted for another one. So I was on that forum for a whole 298 posts. Months of sharing information and feeling really comfortable. Today after a pm to a member my password mysteriously stopped working. I sent a pm in regards to a review page of a product. The review was actually a hub I had built - not a direct affiliate link. The product I had on that review page was directly related to the post discussion. I don't know if it was my enthusiasm over the product or what. It was not a long pm and it actually said something along the lines of "I'm not here to spam you, this is really cool....blah blah blah" and was signed with my real name. MINUTES after that post I had decided to change something in my sigi. A verification of my password was requested, which automatically is stored in my computer. I got the message: invalid password an/or username. So at first I was not really sure what had happened. I have changed a lot of passwords in the past months due to other reasons which will be revealed below. After 2 very polite and concerned and apologetic emails to the admin (mind you I never had any issues on the "other forum" ever before) and hours later I still have no reply as to what happened, or even an "access denied" so I would know that what I did was really misconstrued. It too is a free forum, and they don't "owe" me anything - but none the less I am feeling furious and ignored and myfed. I had even sent examples of helpful posts I had submitted as recently as today. I was far from a spammer or negative element on the forum. And I can explain that as well. BTW, If you're still reading this I'm very impressed. I have spent the past half a year fighting an online scam. A scam which involved someone lying about who they were and lying about the product in a way that was beyond your typical financial scamming. I have been without a job and dedicated months to helping get the fraudulent website shut down. I was an affiliate for that site, and even used the product which worked but all for the wrong reasons. I will just say, check the story on the kim kins diet scam and you will see where I have been. I have even broken the word just now as I don't want to give any help to the name being picked up in the search engines. Close that word and google the diet. You will see pages and pages of blogs trying to bring this site down. We are involved in a class action lawsuit, and criminal charges are being investigated. My experience in promoting that diet had me depressed for months. I was not happy that I had promoted something that appeared to work and was an all out health hazard in the end. I spent months digging it apart and learned all kinds of SEO and reasons why if it wasn't such a scam it would have actually been a great site. From a web perspective a lot of things were done right. Finally in the past 2 weeks, I found something I have been so overjoyed about. Something to promote again that does not involve anyones health. Something where the owners of the product have been enormously helpful and have spent time corresponding with me. Something that involves several of my personal talents/hobbies and something I think is going to be huger that huge and is really the direction the internet is going in. So this was the thing I shared in private on the pm, and I'm wondering still if I have been banned. I think the person I sent the info to is actually a moderator on the site (they have like 2,000 posts) but still - no warning and no "no thank you" and NOTHING. And the only other time I was banned was from the above mentioned diet when someone found out who I was and that I was helping expose the scam. I honestly can't believe that "other site" has chosen to ignore me. I fight for truth and justice on the web. I was glad to see if for some reason you mess up in here by accident you are given a second chance. My true intentions really are to help people, and maybe by this time next week I can show you who I really am in my signature. Sincerely, Knucklehead.
Well, it all turns out there was something wacky with the other forum and I just had to join again - no one was mad at me and it was such a fluke. I just want to say thank you for all the hello's!
Welcome to the site buddy... sorry to hear about the other one.... I can't believe I just read all of your post... it was quite long lol
Welcome and sorry to hear about that knuclehead. Some of us have been involved or rather victims of different scams. We learnt the hard way and lost a couple of dollars in the process. Shakes
