It's beautiful and sunny here! The old joke about Vermont having four seasons (Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Mud Season) is just something we tell tourists to keep them from trying to move here.

I own a small but successful web design firm called CPA Site Solutions.

I'm really here to get out into the community a little more. Do a little social networking/marketing. You know. Anyway, I've enjoyed my stay here so far. I'll see you in the forums!

Nice. There are a lot of opportunties to do web design work here in the buy/sell/trade forum, but they mostly target those designers that aren't in the United States... think outsourcing...

    Thanks Adrian.

I'm really not looking to buy or sell, although if I see something I like I'll certainly grab it. I have my designers in house but I may yet be putting together a stable of freelance blog writers. I'm more looking to see what the current trends are in the community. And I'm always open to the community. If someone has a template they think will make an great CPA or accounting website feel free to send me a link.

And by the way, around my neck of the woods CPA means "Certified Public Accountant". :)

So do you only do web design for accounting firms? Is that a big enough niche???

Thanks. For the most part I am really liking it here. Most of the people here seem really nice and very helpful, and browsing the posts have given me some good ideas for product improvement.

I have picked up a stalker/troll. But these things happen in forums. Especially when you're good looking an successful.

    :D

For the most part this is a really great community, and I intend to continue monitoring it and even post from time to time if I feel I can contribute.

    Edit
Actually Adrian, US Accounting Firms is a pretty big niche. I currently have about 3000 clients. That's about 6% of the available market in my niche. I'm the second largest firm supplying this market in the US.

With professional services like accounting, law, dental, and medical content gets very expensive. The cost of the site design itself is really minimal. Once you buy your content, like free reports, calculators, newsletter etc. and add it all together and you'll need a start up budget of thousands of bucks and months of prep. My standard content package includes 3000 pages of free reports. If you pay $10 per article (and $10 buys a pretty mediocre writer, if you want really good content be ready to pay $17) that's $3000 right there. We split these costs between all our users. This means we can give them a great product at a great price and make enough money to constantly expand and improve the product.
