I don't worry about it! I was just commenting on how there are two ways of dealing with people and one of them rubs me the wrong way.

That'd be plain stupid. I am not trying to squeeze a rep from someone (even when one is due). The point of posting about it was to vent and see what others think.

The first thread I have seen get hijacked by ice cream and cakes

 

Odds are, people are slower to rep people that help, than they are at de-reping a spammer or moron. Spam and you get de-rep bombed with in minutes!! While, for example, Critters probably hasn't been green-rep-bombed for helping every one triple there AdSense earnings!!! He's probably trying to say it's a small price to pay for geting help.

 

You get more greens for funny or witty comments made than helping. I got more green ones for some post in the GTA thread than anything else.

I just wish you could give rep to people more often. A few people on here have some very funny one liners (fryman esp) but you can't rep but once in a while (gotta spread the rep or something).

I would imagine this would open the system up to more abuse - i.e. you could red rep the same people more often too.

 

I believe there is a limit of 10 reps a day that you could give out. It would be nice if that number was raised to 20 or so (mainly to accomodate for green ones). Also, it would be nice to shorten the period (overall number of reps given) before you can *green* rep someone again.

 

Theres no real benefit to changing anything, just extra work IMO.

If you like something someone said etc pm them.

 

Case in point: #2 on the top rep list doesn't even have any web site and hardly even knows anything about webmaster stuff, hince no webmaster help provided!!!

You can also get +rep-bombed by singing!

Yet not a single other soul here dared post audio of themselves singing!!!! You can become the second!
