I've had about 2,200 visitors since I started doing search marketing. Still no sales. A few ideas I had about potential problems: 1) I'm not advertising enough 2) There is no demand for my product 3) I don't sell laptops and other computers people truly want 4) I don't sell myself well enough on the website 5) No one trusts my company 6) The computer needs to look cooler, and "Green." Customers need to see the Green value in the product by how it looks. I had considered going into the business market, because as you stated there are big net savings for businesses who use my computer. All my support and manufacturing companies are outsourced, so even if I were to go out of business, those companies still hold up the support contracts, so it's a safe purchase in that regard. But I literally still haven't made a single sale. I've had over 2,200 visitors, I've got online ads running, I'm thinking about advertising on Treehugger or ecogeek, and in the Portland, OR online newspaper but I'm concerned, because if 2,200 didn't want to buy this product for some reason then I still have a serious issue to figure out before I spend big on advertising (I think, right?) I'm also called all colleges with green initiatives to try and get my products listed in their stores with student discounts, problem is they almost all have contracts w/ Dell and Apple so they are loath to add another. Suggestions would be appreciated. I'm stumped. fyi my website is www.myleef.com
green products are still being overlooked by most, but they are catching on. just keep advertising, these will sell to the right audience. have you tried article marketing?
you should at least let someone test your product. but if so. then you should have let them post + reviews. let them recommend your product. money back guarantee and every thing..do whatever that's best even if you have to spend lots..because its all about investing. well thats, thats what i know
You have a nice-looking site. Unfortunately just about everybody out there is not interested in something like this. But, like the other poster said, it is catching on. Slowly but surely. But, you should think about putting n the info right there on the homepage, instead of them having to click to go there. You can save them $200? Show them a few things on how they can do this, right there, and then they click on the link for the rest. You have free shipping? Shouldn't THAT be on the homepage? Computers have a negative impact on our environment? Tell them why, right there. The more you lead them into reading, the more they may read. The more they may read, the higher the odds go up in possibly making a purchase. Think about putting in a big picture of a very attractive but sophisticated woman with no background behind her. Try to turn cold curiosity seekers into warm, "hmmmm" possible interested buyers. There just simply is not enough info on your homepage. This is far from the norm, but you should also consider combiing the purchase and homepage together. Get them in a buying mood, and then, boom, there is the ordering page, right there on the bottom, ready for them to fill out. A good editor can combine just about everything on one page. Try to get your visitors to click on links as little as possible. Your goal is to get them to read the most important info, right then and there. By the way, your purchasing page needs work. Try to add quality pictures of people looking at their computer, and whatnot. Get them seeing themselves looking at such a "brand new computer." Next, I would advertise in sites concerned with this subject. Hit THOSE people up. They need computers to, ya know. What is the wording of your ads? That could be your problem too. You want to weed out as many curiosity seekers as possible. I myself would click on your ads, just to see what a green computer is.
I'd put the main features on the homepage. People like things to look like what they are, the Pc looks more or less like a normal PC. I think a more green looking PC may get more attention. Something stylish like the stuff hoojum do. How about lots of free software pre-installed on the Pc to save the user money, AVG, openoffice etc How about offers from related sites, ie offer the readers of green/eco sites an exclusive discount. I guess people are not very knowledgeable, you seem to be targeting the young males with a bit of tech knowledge which I guess are your main market.
Yeah I agree with the other two, put more info to grab the visitor on the front page. It looks nice but it's just "Save XX, Click here to buy." and a few little things at the bottom that look like associations you have rather than links to more info. The links on the top right also blend in a bit too much. If you want an edge this is free: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1395462
