I think you should make it a rule that people can't ask for "review copies"

It would consist of getting a nice old infraction for being too cheap to buy something that already costs less than a god damn pack of gum, and asking for a review copy.

If were lucky all the people who aren't willing to spend money for something can just go kill themselves since they won't have anything better to do than ask for review copies on every single post.

You guys should take this into consideration.
We could call it a "No Cheap Asses" rule.
You guys would make the world a better place by ridding it of these cheap asses.

If your suggestion is implemented, there will be many people losing money, there will be people registering multiple accounts on DP and selling things lower than $5, making say $10 per thread every few days.

Or do you suggest that review copies be given out only for something that is expensive?

Reviews do not necessarily make a product great, with good reviews at least we can be certain that products are not crap, are decent and are value for money. Besides they help us to identify whether the seller has rights to sell the products or not, and ultimately ridding DP of people who do not respect ownership and copyright.

All the above is not possible if review copy practice is done away with.

People selling stuff here wouldn't be very happy with that, I think? Review copies help them to get some comments about the product on offer. Also, what right could any forum legitimately have to lay down the law about at what prices private business should be transacted? If you're selling things here, there's no compulsion on you to offer "review copies" if you don't want to, but why would you want to stop others from doing so?

They really wouldn't suit you. And people would certainly "talk".

reviews are good, a seller may give 5 reviews per 100 sold, this is a very good method of FREE advertising and it proves that they are not a scammer and they have good quality work

Maybe an infraction of bad rep could be given for posts that just say:
    review copy please
    any reviews
especially if the OP says no review copies.
    etc..

I have seen many posts where people get a review copy and never leave a review.

They already get an infraction. It's covered by the BST announcement / 7-day ban rules as a useless bump-style post. If the OP doesn't flat out say there are review copies, people who are curious should be PMing them, because they're asking if they can get a review copy, which is private business between the two of them. If the OP does say there are review copies, no one should be posting in the thread to get them - they should also be PMing them. If you see them posting useless things (like posting to get an offered review copy, an OP telling them to post for a review copy, or a bunch of people in the same thread asking that question), just use the report post button.
