    Although if you're sticking strictly to rock, I'd have to go with Satch and Blackmore.

    Another guy that deserves a mention is Johnny Ramone...true, never played mind-blowing (or any) solos, but gotta love his energetic downstroke rhythm playing and his I-IV-V progressions.
