    Hi

I'm creating a new blog on one of the websites using WordPress and while looking for a good Theme for it I came across a website of the Theme maker. One of the sections of his website(blog) has a newest version release with a lot of comments. Page has a PR5 rank and if you post a comment with your keyword as a NAME it creates a backlink to your website.

Am I right or wrong here?

Do comments have a DO FOLLOW link on blogs ??? If they do its a nice way to get a backlink.

    Mark

You have to check the source code yourself for nofollow or not. It all depends on the blog.

I really doubt the value of backlinks from comments. I don't think even technorati counts links from comments as a valid link

It just depends if they're nofollow or not. They do count if they're dofollow.

This is common in blogs for now. They use "nofollow" in order not to pass the link juice.

check the source plz, if a high PR page don't use nofollow for comments, then backlink from comments still worth it.
