Great Right up from an Old school well known SEO as Massa on out sourcing SEO http://massa.techndu.com/2007/10/16/TheProcessOfSEOOrAnAmericanWerewolfInIndia.aspx
Also looking at the Outsourcing mentioned in the article, I have to add that Outsourcing right now (In my opinion) is at an all time high. Everyone looking to save a buck or 2. I see 3 things happening next year as a reaction: 1.) A drop in Outsourcing on web design / SEM/SEO projects due to Unreliable sources. 2.) Discrediting of U.S. companies / freelancers That used unreliable outsourcing on piece projects (Reflecting their own image). 3.) An Overall Market drop Due to Trust related issues stemming from clients that feel taken advantage of. I predict this to happen by May 2008 if not sooner.... Too many reports are already piling in from people using outsourcing agents & freelancers from overseas & getting scammed / robbed / incomplete projects / Specs Not Met / Etc.... Whether it's a communication barrier or simply lack of skills to begin with, Upset consumers are popping up everywhere, it's only a matter of time before a media frenzy occurs. Once the %'s on SEO/SEM drops again next year it may take a bit to get them back up again, Re-Building virtual trust in those consumers that were mislead the first time along with all the doubtful potential consumers that heard about it & have become even more skeptical. Whether it's short lived or not, I think it will impact the markets as much as the Nigerian Scam did with local media groups. Just my opinion....
Yup exactly thats why the average person should not be out sourcing anyone thats looking for seo services or someone thats inexperience should be hiring a us. Out sourcing is only for people that are well experienced in there areas and that use good sense. Read this http://www.dewittsmedia.com/seo-blogs/internet-business/out-sourcing-seo/
Oh, I Totally agree with the Outsourcing Concept, The ONLY exceptions I have is the lack of research a Client does & or the deceptive marketing attempts made by Unqualified individuals & or companies actively seeking clients. If there is One thing about the SEO Industry I believe to be 100% true, thats that the MAJORITY of the true SEO experts do it for them self & make 100% profits rather than take on clients for a mere 20%-30% of what they could make them self. I mean if they were that good, why NOT do it for them self at a 100% gain for the same amount of time invested? At any rate, I also see the need for an employee or freelance status to aid the ones that have NO clue about the industry. I simply feel that one is still in training & harnessing their skills while in a client relations type position when it comes to SEO. Once they are confident enough, they go out & create digital download sites, Communities, etc... with there skills & truly move up the food chain & into a higher tax bracket. The 2 exceptions to the rule would be: A.) Having a big heart & helping a friend or family member or B.) Hate the headaches & red tape with running your own business. (It's the Self proclaimed Guru's everyone should watch out for - Meaning STAY AWAY) Again, this is my opinion & a majority may disagree with me...
Every coin has two side, there is always some pitfall in every business. risk factor is there in any business weather it is outsourcing or onsite projects. every outsourcing company is not crap, you can find lots of company in the world doing great and have provided excellent services.
Yup thats what I stated in that article I just wrote about making sure that you know what your doing before you go out sourcing, and I would not recommended it for the regular person to just start out sourcing.
Agreed, as I pointed out... Its merely the ones that are forced to SEEK clients that normally lack the Established REPEAT / REFERRAL clients that the Good Businesses already have established. (Simply a good rule of thumb to avoid Self Proclaimed SEO Guru's that approach you for your business) I understand Everyone has to start somewhere, however thats just what you get as a client (Someone thats starting somewhere). First rule of thumb to ask yourself is, would I hire Myself? Or am I simply trying to make a quick buck by providing a service I am NOT qualified to provide? Even if someone was to answer them self & conclude they are NOT qualified, that still does nothing for the client that was mislead to think that they were.
